The video footage conveys the great significance of these events, which are held with thoughts on National Day on August 9 th. Your video camera continues to capture the people gathering around Merlion Park and the Marina Bay Waterfront, as well as the numerous cameras, in warm detail and with an objective perspective! At the Marina Bay Sands boardwalk, the video captures a impressive scene of people from Singapore’s diverse ethnic backgrounds, smiling, laying out mats, and enjoying their meals as they wait for fighter jets and fireworks….☝️✨ National Day 2024 previous,we think it’s video production that is also a large documentary! The highlight of this NDP Preview video is 'people-watching'. I wanted to show people enjoying themselves having picnics with families and friends. I also wanted to show people of different races living in harmony in Singapore. My thumbnail was specially selected to reflect this. You can see barriers and metal dividers as I walked along. The authorities have taken much effort in safety, security and crowd control. Fireworks viewing from the Marina Bay Sands is the best as the wind is blowing the smoke away towards the Merlion. Every burst of firework can be seen in clarity. However, on 9th August, I plan to be back on the Jubilee Bridge as that's where all the action is. The smoke will be obscuring the fireworks but we get to see the 21-gun salute, hi speed boat chase, overhead red lions, overhead flag flypast, etc.
CM, we read your detailed information with great interest! It’s fun just imagining the red Merlion overhead and the flags flying in the sky on August 9th. We can’t wait to see your immersive video shoot.☝️✨ Yosh and Iku
@@SingaporeCityWalks CM,It was a complete typo! Sorry about that. Seeing a red Merlion above your head would be quite surprising, wouldn’t it ?! haha Tokyo is experiencing a scorching 36 degrees today!🔥 Gloval warming! CM, Please be careful of heatstroke and keep video shooting.☝️✨ Yosh and Iku
This recording shows a different perspective from the earlier practice video, with people having picnic and enjoying themselves as the focus. Except for the Merlion Park, the filming locations are different. The earlier video shows the uncasing of colours by the guard of honour and also the mobile column (military vehicles). The next video will be on the actual day. You might want to skip that one as it will almost be a repeat of the earlier video. The difference will be the carnival-like atmosphere 😊
Hmm what time did you walk & chope spaces? We forgot about the preview & drove past Fullerton Bay Hotel before turning around… & that was v early before 3pm? Alr tonnes of people pouring in walking under the hot Sun!
I choped my spot with my tripod at 3.30pm under the scorching sun. Only a few people were around then. Went over to the Merlion Park and waited till the crowd built up before filming. Came back around 7pm and the boardwalk was chock-full of people - sitting, chatting or eyes glued to their phones. To my surprise, this disciplined crowd remained seated throughout the fireworks display so that everyone could have a good view 😀

I think this year’s National Day was fabulous with beautiful firework displays. 😊
The rehearsals fireworks were beautiful. However, on the actual day, there was no wind and the fireworks was blocked and covered by smoke.
