Meant to clarify - weatherproof but don’t stand ankle deep in a puddle for extended time - These don’t have goretex!
How would these hold up against walking in the snow for 1-2 hrs?
Also, what size do you recommend going with? I'm a 9 dress shoe and normally an 8 with Tafts, but another commenter mentioned that others have had to pick it up in their normal dress shoe sizes.

You gotta check out Grant Stone, I just got a pair of their diesel in vegetable tanned leather and they are beautiful. I think they also offer a weather resistant leather

I like the backdrop with the fireplace, which looks pretty nice from what I can see. That foot in the puddle must be from the studio here in Pitts, because that car looks like the one you had a while back, the one you didn't want to give up. 😄
I've had these for a few months now, they are awesome. Super comfortable, I have a wider foot tht is a 10.5 and the 11s fit very very well. These have replaced my frye mid lace sutton boot as my go to

I have Taft boots and happy with the quality. There is one new Brand Lethato seen on different portals and I saw their boots are attractive and reasonably priced. Any feedback from you on this brand.

Great video! Anyone have input as far as the waterproof qualities of the elastic/mesh on the ankles of Chelsea-style boots? I've never owned a pair in this style and was curious about that as I've moved to an area that sees a lot of rain in the fall/winter. Thanks!

Excellent overview. Do these tend to fit the same size-wise as their other models or to-size? (I’m a Size 9 dress shoe but have always had to go with an 8 by their scheme.)
Some people in the site review say they went for their actual dress shoes size on these...

You can get some lined boots but those will have some bulk to them!
He's done reviews on socks that may be helpful, but there are so many good companies with socks that would keep your feet warm, without the bulkiness you don't want.
@@tigergreg8 - Yeah, I'm loving the wool socks from Bombas (which were recommended by The Kavalier). My wife bought some for herself, too.

My issue with Chelsea boots is that they can't be tightened or loosened, so they feel like either woman's heels or dad's rainboots. YMMV
I think when buying Chelsea boots you just have to accept that the fit is never gonna be great. Part of the package, sort of.
I would recommend a jodhpur boot. Very similar except it has a strap and buckle for some adjustability.
