"I Have an Uncle"

Last year my daughter competed in a public speaking competition against other grade 6 students from schools in our city and made it to the final round with her speech on her most inspirational character.
When she was given the topic by her teacher, she didn't flinch and knew exactly who she wanted to write about. In her own way, she wanted to do her part in telling Paco's story because, as she says "you never know if someone listening might be able to help"
In the end the grand prize went to another student but she came home feeling so proud, accomplished and hopeful that maybe, just maybe, someone important heard her.
