Yeah, just following this route and destroying (nearly) every enemy on my way got me the S rank even with a bad Iguazu fight and a much slower time than this walkthrough.
For me this is the worst mission of the game... None of these thing are tagged and scan doesn't even work on them. You just have to go in a try your luck before the stupid time runs out. Any bosses in this game are less frustrating than finding and destroying these things
@@NoxMonstrum Another tip if you look below on your screen there is a compass that indicates where the enemy are even if they are invisible arrow up means they are above while below well they are below you hopefully you are able to S rank this mission
@@NoxMonstrum That's wrong. The scanner will tag the targets if they're in range when you scan. Stick on a head with decent scan range/duration like the VE-44b.
This is a weird one. I just finished it with 69.8K expenses (17.9K repair and 51.9K ammo, 0 penalties) 310K income, and still got A rank. I am guessing it's the total time, but I thought I did it fast enough. I guess not lol. Edit: Just got S-Rank. I guess I was not killing enough enemies? I just got 239K income, 140K expenses (23.4K repair, 67.4K ammo, 50k penalties) and got it... such a random mission.
Checking other videos and comments, the S-rank requirements are frustrating because they're way too arbitrary. In the end I'm not too sure what made my winning run the one. The many runs leading up to it were already incredibly optimized. I don't feel like I'm being rewarded for running the mission skillfully.
I can confirm here that you need to kill as many as you can but first make sure to prioritize destroying the hacking devices. Once all of them destroyed then kill as many as you can and don't forget to kill the tetrapod. After that don't worry about using 2 or 3 repair kits as long as you survive the remaining enemies. I let Igauzu help me finish the stealth and whip robots and finish him quickly in the end.
for anyone who struggles like i did to S rank this mission you need to kill more enemies and be fast in the total time, the money you get from this mission doesnt that matter- one try i was with 330000 coam and still got an A and when i got the S i got only 230000 coam

add-on about how to S rank 1. use VE-448 head with 700 scan distance focus your way don't waste time to go wrong way 2. don't kill enemy not your target ... destory only hacking enemy 3. use 2x zimmerman with 2x VE-60SNA for speed medium AC build 4. use 2x VE-60SNA first fire to clear barrier boss and fire 2x zimmerman after that u can repair 3 times to S but u need speed to clear mission
How TF is he killing Iguazu before he has a chance to heal? I’ve been trying this level over and over again, with different variations of the same Gatling/needles build, and not once could I get him down before the ghost MTs show up. Was having better luck with my double shotgun/trueno biped build. At least I got the S rank with that.
I've never understood how everyone kills Iguazu so easily. He input reads like crazy, and facetanks 2 point blank needlers with no stagger, and minimal damage (with gunfire). I hate these inflated stats they give to npcs.
Worst mission in the game, simply because there is no map and the scanner can't tell you where hallways are. Any time you need to look up a UA-cam video simply to locate enemies, it is dogshit game design.

I just did what the guy in the video did and got S-rank first try with my tryhard biped 2xzimmerman, 2xstun needle build. Got pulse protection to limit repair costs.
Does anybody here know how to get in that secret room in the beginning with all the enemies with battle logs?? I literally came here for that and this person didn’t even go in that room lmao
There's another UA-cam video that shows it. Basically, right after the first door open, go to your right near the molten steel/lava kinda thing. There's like a half pipe that you can enter.
Go into the pipe near the center of the area - specifically the one that doesn't have lava flowing in it - and head down there, just like you have to in the "Infiltrate Grid 086" mission to get one of the chests and to kill Nosaac for his combat log.
For anyone struggling, killing the tetrapod before going outside to fight Iguazu/invisibles allows for a lot more damage leniency.
Can confirm, was doing a run just to get the logs but still got S without really trying

You need to change your head look for scan range

i just swapped out the miniguns with the flamethrowers, like Pyx did in another Mission. Worked like a charm and i got an S rank on the first try.

I know how you're feeling, buddy. When we get to this point, doing Rank S, we question ourselves: is this really worth it?

If the 4 enemies spawn in before you kill iguazu immediately go for the two snipers. The whip boys will target iguazu keeping him busy.
