베트남은 6성이여ㅜㅜ
근데 자기들도 철저히 지키지는 않는듯. 우리나라 쌍받침이나 ㅔ,ㅐ 처럼 필요에 따라 비슷한 건 줄여서 거의 3,4가지로 발음하는 사람들 많음.
천천히 말할 때나 강조할 때만 완벽히 지키는 느낌임

광둥어 9성도 아니래요 경성 포함하면요 광둥어도 10성이라네요
광동어는 사투리라기보단 아예 별개의 언어라고 봐야 합니다.
@@이스터12 제주어도 언어학적으로는 서울말과 별개로 보지만 한국어의 방언으로 분류합니다. 광동어도 똑같아요.

It does make a difference on how a word is pronounced in a tonal language because it can mean very different things. That's why my friends finds it hard to learn a lot of Asian languages because they're not used to listening for tones. 👍

아~ 성조때문에 동남아쪽 언어랑 중국어랑 다른데도 비슷하게 들린거구나
실제로 베트남어는 중국어를 많이 모방해서 베트남어랑 중국어는 단어도 겹치는게 꽤 많다고 들었어요

Many people dosen't know that Thai people and Vietnam people are also came from the southern China. They have similarities in their language structure. Like Korea, Japan, Uighur, Mongolia have grammatical similarities in language.

@@kape_at_asukal Dude, I'm pointing out how weird it is to have a multicultural panel in South Korea. That's very unexpected to most people, in what is considered one of the most homogeneous countries on Earth. This panel consists of white and black Americans, a Thai and other foreigners, all of whom speak fluent Korean in much the same way immigrants in the USA do. That's why I was so surprised, when did South Korea become multicultural? I must have missed the memo.
@@therock8224 the panels in the show are those who works or studies in Korea and some married Koreans so they live there. They try to include people from different backgrounds and cultures. If you never watched the show, I highly recommend it, they talk about different topic every episode and since everyone is from different places, it's interesting to see their discussion based on their culture, perspective etc about the topic.
@@cork7787 Yeah this is the second episode I've watched but it's still unexpected. In most Asian countries (except China) resident foreigners (expats) can rarely speak the local language although you might see the odd token foreigner who's fluent in the language on TV but not a whole panel like on this show. Maybe Korea is different to the rest of Asia, I dunno.

Actually, there's another special tone in Chinese which is: ü (the 2 little dots) Although it's not very commonly used but still counts as a tone.
it's a vowel that sounds like "ew" that replaces the "oo" vowel associated with constants like j and q. (ju = jew, bu = boo from book)
L and n can both have "ew" and "oo" vowels so they are distinguished as lu and lü. It's not a tone because it can have tones of its own like any other vowel e.g. nǚ (女) lǜ (绿)

Hopefully they will understand Thai intonation like they had already done with Chinese’s. Different sounds express different meanings though they are written by exactly the same alphabet yet they mostly have intonation marks to differentiate what the speaker means. Thai people unlikely use the same word with all five tones at once because communication can be very confusing and give no meanings.
Is Thai language an isolated language, too? Isolated languages like VN, PRC, HK, ROC ones may have tones. | Миру мир!

사실 중국도 4성이 아닌 5성이 맞음. 일반적으로 4성으로 아는 1성부터 4성까지 있고 경성(轻声)있음. 경성은 무성임. 성조표기는 점.

경성이 무성이라는 겁니다. 즉, 악센트가 없다는거죠. 그리고 일성과 달리 짧게 끝납니다. 예를 들면: 啊가 일성일때는 아~ 발음이지만 경성일때는 아! 짧게 끝나죠.
