This one is stupid. What do you get when you fuse iron chef and the voice? Netflix iron chef 😒 phony chefs trying to be #1 even though #1 chefs have been around for as long as the human race was able to pass down it's recipes to generations one after another for hundreds of years. No such thing as perfect chefs, you can really only alter the recipes that's about it.
Four of the new Iron Chefs: Curtis Stone, Marcus Samuelsson, Dominique Creen and Ming Tsai were challengers on Iron Chef America before they were on this as new Iron Chefs.
Is it really possible to win against 5 Iron Chefs? Each chef individually gifted with their own unique take on food along with their years and years of mastering and perfecting their craft - it would take an extraordinarily passionate and gifted challenger to do that... and I want to see it!

I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to win against 5 chefs. Legend chefs at that, as they say. Like off the bat each chef gets to focus on their dish while the challenger has to juggle 5 dishes with only 2 extra hands. How! Is one supposed to beat 6 other dishes that are specialized

I guess that’s their way to find the very, very best. Don’t know if there’s a chef alive today who can beat that challenge though.
The only problem I had with this is that there were too few episodes. They could've easily started out an 18 episode season.

So happy too see this show back. It never should’ve left. Abolishes success. Love Kish with Alton she’s the best sidekick he’s ever had by a million miles. With that being said! I seen many ideas stolen from other world renowned chefs from all over the world during this season. More specifically the “Forest Floor” dish is a world famous dish by one of the greatest Japanese chefs on the planet in Yoshihiro Narisawa. I mean the dish was exactly the same. Even the name. Stuff like this is just shocking too me. You want to be inspired by a recipe? Phenomenal! That’s good. A great chef needs inspiration. But to take a dish and coin it as your own original creation and even steal the name from the “inspiration” is jaw dropping. And don’t tell me “Originality” isn’t a part of the Iron Chefs job. It’s literally one of the main judged criteria for this show. A show which happens to be on Netflix called “The Final Table” showcases this “Forest Floor” dish with the right creator of the dish in Chef Narisawa of Japan. You can find this in the shows finale episode around the 6 min mark or so. This show was filmed and released a little over 5 years before Iron Chef aired. Sorry for the rant. But if you made it this far. One of the Iron Chefs is a fraud!

I hope there will be a new season! I still can't believe how we have top tier chefs with Michelin stars now! Dominique Crem and Curtis Stone have earned stars, and the former is considered one of the world's best! Also I would love to see Chef Morimoto come back as the OG of iron chefs!

Enjoyed this! But the flaw in this new system where the most successful challenger comes back in the finale became pretty much apparent a few episodes in, Not gonna spoil anything but one episode was in a crazily different league then the others😂

I love this but when a Iron Chef loses. The should be eliminated and their winning challengers should move on to the Championship.
I hate that Chairman on IRON CHEF intro.. They got him looking like an Asian Clown Prop.. Ahhhhhhh..
Let me preface this by saying I do like Iron Chef. The food created on the show is amazing and inspiring. But let's not allow ourselves to believe this is NOT a competition. SPOILER ALERT! So like many series on Netflix, Iron Chef was restricted to 8 episodes. Of the first 7 episodes, 6 involved challengers. One episode was dedicated to two teams of Iron Chefs pitted against each other. So of the 6 episodes pitting challengers vs Iron Chef, one challenger won thereby advancing to the final episode for a showdown with all five Iron Chefs. Obviously the show's creators ensured that only one challenger would advance to the eighth and final episode. Again, I like the show but it is scripted as any other comedy or drama series.
Did you even watch the show? It was said at the get-go that whoever had the highest # of points would proceed to the final round. If you have way too many rounds, then that makes it too difficult to have a realistic chance of qualifying.
@@simpleandjames you would have to be naive to believe this show is an actual competition. Of course I heard the part a out highest points but regardless of whether one or all the competitors win their head-to-head, the show is scripted. So if all the competitors lose the loser with the most points advances? Every reality show is scripted. This show is no different.
I also feel that Netflix is testing the waters on this first season, so everything wasn't iron out perfectly BUT still this was so amazing to watch!

Love that they acknowledge Morimoto. Hope they don't pretend the other previous Iron Chefs don't exist. These 5 new Iron Chefs are almost all legends. But I'm surprised they didn't bring back at least one previous Iron Chef. Still - I'd hate to be the one cooking against Dominique Crenn.

I think Morimoto is the only chef capable to at least judge or cook from the original japan series. Most of them either died (Kenichi and Kobe)or at there late 70s to 90s (Michiba, Nakamura, Sakai)

I feel like Netflix is testing the waters with the 1st season of Iron Chef on their platform. So many things need to be iron out but it was such an amazing thing to watch! This was so educational and very entertaining all at the same time! I want a Season 2 soon!

All facts. I originally thought that the finale would be her against each chef but 1 dish vs 1 dish and that she needed to beat at least 3 to win not all. I don't see anybody no matter how skilled they are beat 5 iron chefs like these 5, they are culinary's monsters lol.

Yes she was amazing but no matter who it was other than her, they were never going to be these 5 culinary monsters. I didn't like the finale's format. It should have been 5 dish with 5 different main ingredients or theme, each iron chefs get assigned a specific main ingredient or theme and the final challenger has to do all 5 then each of her dish would compete against another iron chef dish according to the main ingredient or theme. Beat at least 3/5 Iron chefs dishes and you get crowned Iron legend. I do believe this format would have been amazing. Ain't nobody no matter how good of a cook you are can beat these 5 legends, 99.99% impossible.
Yes, I enjoy watching the show until the finally. That was 5 iron chef to 3 regular chef. The iron chef had only 1 plate each to present and had all the time in the world. Some even spend time messing around. Either they give the challenger 2 extra chef in the kitchen or take 2 iron chef out of the finally. Atleast the challenger could have a fair fight. You're the iron chef. They are regular chefs. You have 5 iron chef in charge of 1 plate each. The 1 regular chef and 2 assistant chefs in charge of 5 plates. How was that fair? Ar the end, they could have given the challenger praises for going up against 5 iron chef by herself. It was a disappointing ending. Hope the next season doesn't disappoint.

Sakai and Morimoto were my favorites to watch. They were the most creative and most willing to take a chance on failure that it made them so entertaining to watch. Loved watching them all, though. Well, iron chef Japan anyway. 👍

I was already hyped when I saw the trio hosting this show but the judges just put me over the top. Andrew Zimmer, Wolfgang puck, danny trejo, and the goat morimoto. I can't handle how hyped I am for this. Man my childhood watching all these guys is flooding back.
Chef Ming Tsai hands down one of my favorites . My problem is i can't watch iron chef and not start cooking myself. Sometimes though , The things they prepare aren't very appealing to me but I still love this show . Go chef Tsai !!!
Unfair last challenge really. One chef to cook five dishes in one hour, while the iron chefs cook one each in an hour. Very lose, lose situation I'd say.
I used to watch Iron Chef when I was a kid. This is going to be exciting to watch.

Watching the challenger try to beat the 5 Iron Chefs is like watching a video game player getting to the final level of the game and trying to beat all the bosses of the previous stages.

I just finished watching it and I got really confused at the last episode .Correct me if I’m wrong but their was 2 winners from the challengers side the Korean girl and the red headed girl .So why was only one of them challenging the iron chefs?:/
They (the show) chose the one who had the highest score for the grand finale. She had 86, if I remember right.
