- Sir Bob Geldof stopped during the song to explain how he felt singing the lyrics in the light of stabbing and riots in Southport and gives a tribute to the mothers and children in Gaza and the Ukraine. Some in the audience had got carried away with the tune but he halted proceedings to give a sharp lesson on the seriousness behind the words. It’s a powerful song and an equally dynamic band.
Sorry the sound quality is not as powerful in second half as it was intended!
He has done so much excellent music solo and with the Boomtown Rats and Band Aid! A Legend. I saw him twice live. Brilliant…

I had to turn the volume off whilst I type this comment,saw Boomtown Rats at Halifax "back in the day" when they were half-decent/tolerable but now..... absolutely dreadful, wouldn't watch them if they paid me.
