    Knew I"d find this on your channel. Thank you, Robot! Now I know what to specify. I'm definitely vertically challenged on the Vespa Sprint 150 I just bought. Right now, I just lean it slightly to the right when I stop and have bought some heeled motorcycle boots. But this will make a huge difference.

    Thanks much for informative video on seat height. I'm a male at 5'5" and I'm riding a 2016 Sym HD 200 (171cc) and it has a 31" (+) seat height. After a number of tip overs at a few stops (how embarrassing!) with very minor damage, I have learned how to simply slide forward and down on the seat at every stop and be sure to focus, focus straight ahead. That mental focus works and no tip-overs for a long time now.
    Question: Do you happen to know of reducing brackets for my 2016 Sym HD 200? A universal set of brackets? I have two shocks. Or just have the seat shaved by a pro.
    Thanks for your informative videos!

    Hi Robot, picked up the lowering kit from you folks for my 2020 Liberty 150. In looking at the location of the muffler on the Liberty vs. the Vespa, I don’t believe there is a need to put the limiting washers on the shock. Your thoughts?
    Love your videos and reviews, will come and visit next time on the west coast. NH is home.

      The liberty has a lot more room between the exhaust and body work, so you should be fine without the washers. Come on down when you're out here! Thanks for the support.

    I've purchased this bracket from you and having it installed by Coast Riders Powersports in San Luis Obispo - an authorized Vespa dealer. They have not installed one before but I feel that they can do so very easily. How long would you think it would take a good mechanic to complete the install? Thanks

    Is there a way of increasing the height of the seat? So not the whole Vespa, just the seat... I'd like to get some more height for my legs when on the vespa... Or perhaps a seat without the 'sitting' bump so at least the whole seat is as high as the rear part of the seat? I'm about 6'1 and on long rides it's just way too low unfortunately. I've had a look around but can't really find any seat that is like that... even the 'mono' seat has a bump and with that one you can't even sit on the rear end. I was also under the impression that the GTS seat felt higher than the Sprint/Primavera one (though officially listed the same height)

    • @VespaMotorsport
      @VespaMotorsport 3 роки тому

      Nothing like that from the factory. We've had good luck in the past taking our seats to an upholstery shop to have them lowered, but the opposite may be possible as well. Have them use your stock seat pad and do something custom?

    • @dio56301
      @dio56301 3 роки тому

      Thanks for the tip. I might have a look around for that. I already tried an airhawk... but it only raises it slightly and feels a bit too wobbly for me... so customizing the seat might be the only option.
