I love seeing all the stuff you rescue from the dumpsters, but wait till you are all done for the day or night, and then go over all the treasures you found.
I swear, every time I watch, when you get to the little pantry or the blessing box, all the stuff you left is always gone. Not one anything left. It just tells me that even though the people coming are getting good food, but it's nice to see your kids happy with some candy or chips or soda. Those are the extras most people can't afford. So don't be downing yourself because it's not better food and just empty calories. We all love them so just because you're struggling doesn't mean that some of the help you get is candy cookies and chips.
