My name is Jay Swanson - I'm an American writer living in Paris on an artist visa. Paris (yes the one in France) has been my home for years now and I have every intention of staying here for as long as they'll have me. I write science-fiction and fantasy, vlogged daily for 3+ years, and love pizza a little too much. The identity card is free Jay and getting a "acte de naissance" from Nantes is pretty straight forward, it takes about 3 days. Bienvenue parmi nous !
Actually, you dont really need a carte d identité if youve got a passport already. I lost my last identity card around 20 years ago.

Congrats! We will toast to you tonight on Pizza Friday. We went to a wedding in Scotland in 1989 and it was wonderful! We hardly knew anybody and still had a great time. In the church, my husband told me to look as the officiant and then said, “Mawrage. Mawrage is what bwrings us togever today” I almost busted a gut laughing. Enjoy Scotland and again, congrats.

Just got home from work here in Australia and I found out this news. I am so excited for you. Well done and Congratulations. All the promoting you do for Paris alone in my opinion, should have given you automatic citizenship.
