Is it just me, or I can hear the vocals a lot more clearly in this? It's... strange. Hearing it all muffled in other versions, this is a breath of fresh air.
I think because other people use not remastered version of this song. Original was released in 2012, remastered version was released in 2018 and it has a lot difference in voice and sound. Same thing with Mr. Kitty's album "D E ∆ T H"

TL;DR: This is a song that I associate with my version of Lucifer This song was introduced to me recently. I have a friend who is starting a dnd campaign, in which I am a Demon (homebrew race) Warlock that has a pact with Lucifer (and is dating him too). I had made Lucifer's design and said friend decided to write a story based on some lore from the world with Lucifer involved. 11,000 years before our campaign picks up, Lucifer and Azreal had a tiff that resulted in a war between angels and demons, all the death caused Chaos to reawaken. Heaven and Hell had to work together in order to make Chaos go back to sleep. About 5,000 to 7,000 years later, Azreal had come to Hell in a panic to tell Lucifer that Chaos was stirring (At this point Lucifer and Azreal were dating for 2,000 years, don't ask). As Azreal was explaining the situation to Lucifer, a power-hungry demon who was set on overthrowing Lucifer had stabbed Azreal in the back. Azreal had died in Lucifer's arms. Lucifer let out a roar of anger that shook Heaven, Hell, Earth, and Chaos. After they pushed Chaos back into hibernation again and killed the usurper, Lucifer had hardened his heart to never love again. Until Therin (my character) came along, and Lucifer softened his heart for Therin. All Lucifer has of Azreal now is a single gray feather. Long story short, I see this as a song about Lucifer while Azreal died in his arms.
My theory is that this song is about a house defense shooting but they didn't check who they shot until it was to late how it feels like a funeral and that they are regretting what they did and they are slowly going down hill and listen to the quire it sounds like they are talking about the mind of this person like how they killed their child
