- Did you know West Linn and Oregon City were featured in a 1962 episode of popular TV series ROUTE 66? Check out historic footage of the Arch Bridge, Old City Hall, the Crown-Zellerbach paper mill, and Oregon City's Municipal Elevator in this clip!
I was 6 years old when this episode was made. Oregon City had a welcome parade on main Street for them. My mother took me there and we saw them come across the OC west linn bridge on a cold drizzly day. I used to have a picture of it. We lived above the bluff about 3 blocks back.
Ii grew up right here.
I'm 68 years old now so this really takes me back.
I've driven over that bridge so many times and drove into Oregon City. Always loved Oregon City.
Thanks for posting. I work in downtown Oregon City. Cool seeing the bridge and elevator.
Love it!
I guess it's always been a "No Left Turn" at the end of that bridge! I've driven over it thousands of times.
