i note how literally the second thing you did (after picking up the two ammo-boxes) is getting stuck on the door. why didn't you restart, at that point?? otherwise, solid route and mechanics
Thanks for the kind words. Why I didn't reset? This game is really unstable and the only way I could get it behaving consistently (not randomly crashing) was by starting each run attempt from a fresh restart of my system, and booting up all the software I needed in a specific order. That's a lot of fanny on for a tenth of a second over a 46 minute, very reset-heavy run, so I didn't worry too much about tiny movement issues.
@@cl8804 I have Second Contact sitting on my desktop for a casual playthrough at some point, but so far I've only played the original and the 1.1 versions. I like the idea of seeing what I can do with Second Contact in terms of routing though, so watch this space!
@@hypo6969 i think it's basically a worse version of the game, including the graphics (not necessarily on a technical level). The most interesting differences, that I can think of, are that it's more stable, that it features the sprint ability, and that a lot of movement glitches don't work (outside of prone mode not existing, which also has major implications)
thx 4 this Commentary!
i love the fisting kroax finish

Great vid. This is one of the top speed run commentaries made. Awesome work
nice job on the commentary!
Outcast speedrunners put on notice 👀
It would be nice if there were more of them. Hopefully this video will encourage others.

@@hypo6969 interesting. have you tried running second contact; what are the major differences between the versions, in terms of speedrunning? thanks
