i agree with the "this just don't feel right to me". I agree that Toothless had to leave to start a family. But he knew hiccup for what like 6 or 7 years. Ik they had a tearful farewell but I think it was unfair on Hiccup. He lost the only proper friend he ever had that understood him. Toothless was his solace in his lowest points.
although togheter from afar is a theme song, the happier concept says "I want you to be happier" of one of the two accepting the situation, they already knew what they had to do. and never left to love each other. this is Love
