I had the same feeling. When a channel has only good things to say about a product, it's alienating and usually makes me watch other reviews. There's ofc always the rare chance that some product happens to be perfect - but even them, tell what what problems it fixes that are still present with its competitors.

Cons: - The tight fit on your head can be too much depending on your head shape, so I'd advise trying them out in a local store before you buy - No way to turn ANC off - No jack but it comes with an usb-c to jack adapter - THe wear sensing can be a little too sensitive and turn your music off while you still have the headphones on your head

Given the significant changes between the px7s2 sound profile between firmware updates v1/v2/v3, B&Ws horrible software experience and what seems to be a now annual release cycle for these; I wouldn't bother buying these for at least 6 months.
To all those who read reviewers' reviews of Bowers & Wikins PX7 S2 or PX8, please don't believe them at all because I am Singaporean and purchased my Bowers & wikins on 18th September 2023 from Jaben Singapore. Totally disappointing and not cheap at SGD 935.00. The sound quality is a complete let down as they claim the sound is ever so good I can honestly tell you it is complete rubbish why the bass frequencies are very boomy and muddy sound instead of clean bass. The mid-range vocals are very suppressed and lack richness and warmth. After adjusting the equalizer settings, the high frequencies are very bright sounding. The noise canceling is the worst, when I turn on the active noise canceling I 100% hear the noise of the standing fan wind spinning. Overall, everything claimed by those reviewers on UA-cam is untrue as they did not purchase the Bowers & wikins PX 8 themselves but loaned it to them for review purposes only. Please note, if not, you will regret it after buying it with your hard-earned money! ! ! ! ! !
I don’t know what they sell there in Singapore, maybe Chinese counterfeits, but in Russia I really liked the Px7 S2 and Px8 in all respects. Compared with the latest Sony and some other American tops.

I had both in UK, px7 s2 and px8, I loved px7 s2 and hated px8 because how muddy and dry sounding the bass hits were totally lacking flavour/umph/punchyness/dynamics. Next to no sub bass compared to px s7 but ended up returning both. I want px7 s2 sound again but confused about trying px7 s2e before settling with my favourite px7 s2
The ANC capabilities in our tests were definitely in line with what is to be expected from premium ANC headphones - definitely comparable to something like the Sennheiser Momentum 4s. I didn't have a pair of the outgoing Px7 S2 to hand when shooting the video so can't say for certain if this feature has been improved for the new S2e model. But I can say from first hand experience that the ANC performs really well.
This isn't a review really, so much as a sales pitch. They're great, no doubt, but a review should be balanced - you just gush about them for 8 minutes without a single negative point, of which there are some. This is the issue when a shop reviews the products they sell, ultimatively it undermines the impartiality. You need to compare with similar products - like the glaring omission of the comparison to the Sony WH-1000XM5 and its class leading ANC. It's likely most people watching this review will have the Sony on the shortlist, so you need to keep that in mind. The presentation and quality is great, but you either need to replace 'review' for 'product overview' or consider your objectivity.
Very professional and slick video review here. I do wish reviewers would spend more time on the sound quality since sound will always be the main feature of headphones. ANC and other features are great, but they're only there to allow you to hear the audio better.
when you wear PX7 S2e and PX8, which one makes you more comfortable ? and which one is better audio quality ? which one you recommend if I concern both of the most comfort and the best audio quality??
The PX8 has the better build quality and comfort. Although, the Px7 S2e is no slouch in that department and as I stated in the video offers really good comfort too. If you can afford the PX8 they are the better headphone all round (hence the higher price tag).
@@AVHifiCinemaI didn’t notice any fundamental difference in comfort and sound quality with the Px8. The Px8 differs only in the membrane (carbon fiber) and the finishing materials made from genuine leather.
@@andreykolkov2724 The arms that run through the headband are also made of different materials. The Px7 S2e use a polymer (plastic) while the Px8's use metal in their construction. This helps the Px8's the feel more solid and substantial. I imagine it will also help with durability in the long run.
I hope they are addressing their quality issues. I had to return 3 pairs of PX5s, and 2 pairs of PX7s. And now my PX7s2 is losing its padding as the adhesive fails in less than a year
Hello, im listening more R&B and rap music, i want to ask about bass and also i love listening loud music, is this make me happy about them... thank you
The PX7 S2e have a really satisfying bass response. As I mentioned in the video, straight out of the box they have quite a flat EQ curve with a great overall tonal balance. But if you want more bass from the headphones there is a graphic EQ control in the app where you can adjust to taste. As for loudness, I wouldn't say they are overly loud, but definitely loud enough for most people - the ANC will also help block out external noise which will help too.
Do they have side tone on calls without all the other ambient noise coming in. I appreciate that's a hard task without a boom for voice, but that would be my holy grail of one set of headphones for work.
They have 'Ambient Mode' which means that when the ANC is turned on the microphones will pick up the noise around you and play this information back through the headphones. So yes they do have side tone on calls. However, it is only when ANC is switched on. This is common among all major ANC headphone models.
Obviously the 2e starts to close the gap with the PX 8's which crushed it's "little brother" in the previous generation. My question is with the limited codecs provvided by Samsung Galaxy phones, is there any reason to pick the much pricer PX-8 over this new genertion with the 2e?
There are a handful or benefits to the PX8s over all of the PX7 models. For starters, they feature a more premium build quality making use of metals throughout their construction as opposed to polymer (plastic). From a sound perspective, the new PX7 S2e's are effectively a trickled down version of the PX8s. While they perform incredibly well for their price point, the PX8s definitely have the upper hand when it comes to sound quality in general. So, regardless of which codec you are using the PX8s should sound better overall.
I had the prior S2's, and there were a lot of connectivity issues with my Android. Do you know if that's been addressed? If it has I am tempted, though it's a tough call given Bose's new QC Ultra. Their ANC is best-in-class. I love the B&W sound but what's the point if you can't enjoy it in a noisy environment? ;)
Bose anc has always been the best, not as headache causing as sonys xm 3/4 due to anc pressure. If you're not looking for high res bt codecs then just go for the new bose im sure their tuning would be on par with the current top of the line headphones

The microphone is excellent and in our tests offered really good quality for phone calls.
to put it simpler if you have Apple device you won't be able to fully utilise that headphones, like any other HI-Res Audio headphones lol
