Actually Yasmine dumped him so Demetri's currently single and also that girl that said "hola" was the same girl he danced with. His reaction was smiling until he recognized her and said "uh-uh" and ran.
LOL but Yasmine dumped him bc he cheated in her opinion. Some may not consider dancing cheating, but Yasmine did so, hence Demetri's new relationship status haha
I like how the purpose of that training montage was basically "We paid good money to go to Barcelona and, goddamn it, we're gonna get our money's worth!" 🤣 So only a few cast members got to go to Barcelona apparently, which is why you never see certain characters (Tory, Hawk, Demetri, etc.) outside in Barcelona. But stuff like Sam and Axel's scenes in 6x8 were filmed in Barcelona, for one example.
28:36 I liked the parallels between Johnny wanting to fight when his mother died and Miyagi fighting in the tournament after his wife and son died being accompanied by Tory's decision to join Cobra Kai when her mother died. It just shows what happens when you allow anger to cloud your judgement. This show hasn't shied away from comparisons to Star Wars in the past, so why not make my own? Lol. LOVE and always wait for your reactions to this show! Can't wait for Part 3! 36:16 i think it comes from his sensei's abuse and Sam being the only one who showed concern for him. I've never eeen Rocky 4 but Im hearing a LOT of comparisons to Axel there.
I agree that both Kreese and Ponytail bear responsibility as well as Kwon. Kwon knew what he was attempting to do was wrong, but the horrible teachings Kreese gave, coupled with him bringing a weapon to the competition and Ponytail allowing those foul teachings to stand (when she knew from personal experience how damaging it was) resulted in him making a fatally bad choice
I’m going to miss Kwon because the actor can actually fight. The guy is a 5th degree black belt in Taekwondo and it shows in his fight scenes. I don’t care much about his personality, but I enjoyed watching him fight.
Agreed. His character was an idiot but I didn't want him to die. Anyhow I hope the actor is able to get more work with Netflix or other places with that physical talent
So the Axel/Sam/Miguel thing is actually kinda brilliant: It is absolutely dumb, nonsensical and without stakes but the show also *knows* this, and even Sam & Miguel are like "Yeah, this is weird and stupid". The reason they're doing it, besides probable set-up for Part 3, is to essentially do a compare and contrast with the Sam/Miguel/Robby triangle in Season 1. This beef is, almost beat-for-beat, *exactly* what happened between Sam, Miguel and Robby back in Season 1 where Robby is interested in Sam because of her kindness towards him, but she's with a guy already and Robby takes issue with it. Him and Miguel find out about each other, and all three of them handle the situation very poorly. I suspect the point of this "Triangle" is to show how far Sam and Miguel have come since the petty beef that was so instrumental to the events of Seasons 1-3.
Imma have to disagree with one thing your saying. Robby didn't have a problem with Sam having a boyfriend. Once he found out he pretty much backed off. Miguel is the one who got upset. Mostly cause Johnny was in his ear and has drinking.
@@erwilson25 Ehh, it's certainly not to the same level as Axel but Robby did act quite disappointed to hear Sam had a boyfriend and even makes a couple of jabs at her boyfriend's expense, before he knows it's Miguel. Which is something guys tend to do when there's a girl they like but she's dating someone already.
I actually think they’re setting up a Miguel vs Axel fight in part 3. This show creates beef between characters to set up big fights. Kwon and Robby had beef all season and Robby beat him in the tournament.
I see what you're saying but I disagree that it's a smart move at this point. If this was the first relationship drama (as far as another party/jealousy) that the couple experienced I'd be fine with it; but Sam and Miguel have literally been through pretty much everything as a couple (jealousy, breakup, dating other ppl, cheating with each other, Miguel nearly dying etc.) so to bring in a rando to create angst when he's only known Sam for half a business day feels lazy. I feel it would have made for much better storytelling if they experienced an internal issue like maybe Miguel feeling jealous of Sam for making Captain when he didn't, or finding out that they'd be going to separate colleges and they fear that they'll grow apart etc. I honestly feel like the writers just wanted some kind of beef at the students' level since they knew they were going to take out Kwon 🤷🏾♀️
The show: OMG Kwon is dead Me: Ok…. And? Dude was the definition of overhyped and underdeveloped. And if they use his death to try to redeem Kreese they can keep it.
You’re the only person I’ve seen so far who had the reaction. Most people were pretty shocked. I thought he was a pretty good villain and, despite what he did, a teenage boy had a very public and violent death.
@@KCohere33 That teenage boy also had no problem trying to stab another teenage boy so I can't say I feel that bad for him. And the reason he did was why? Cause he was better than him?
@ Cause he was filled with rage and because he was being influenced by the “No Mercy” Cobra Kai motto and Kreese’s bid for revenge. Nothing is so black and white. You can abhor what he was trying to do and still feel bad that this boy is dead.
That "teenager" on the Tiger Strike team is actually one of their senseis.

so far...two people have died on this show....both were in Cobra Kai.
Whos the other one? Johnny's friend from the karate kid movies? Or someone else
@@B.morby23 yup, Tommy and Kwon

Zara and that Thunder girl was getting cooked by Tory and Sam until Zara had to sneak….but Sam handled that light work real quick

Kwons death is on kreese bringing a knife into a karate tournument and telling kwon to be heartless

Johnny probably wanted a revenge against Terry, and he wanted to be the one to beat Kreese.
Probably, but I also think he still thinks of Kreese as a father figure despite everything
