The baby oil is actually help the ink to run smoothly on the paper

after reading most of these comments,there seems to be quite s bit of confusion as to what oil to use. ANY type oil may be utilized, but she used baby oil. You CAN use cooking oil of any type, BUT it will not be clear. the other ingredient was pain water with food coloring OR water w/food coloring & glitter. don't forget to hot glue gun the end of the pen z And any holes the pen may have.

YAY I MADE IT AND IT WORKED and guys if your drips when you write add a lot and I mean a lot of hot glue to the bottom of your pen so the liquid does not drop when you write and if it still drips and some hot glue to the top of your pen
It is so nice my own school supplies are really boring but you brought life into them.

if you close the ink part it will stop working. just like a bottle of water it needs oxygen to come in in order to take out the liquid
actually i did it, and it worked just fine!
claire e!! it will work for a while and stop afterwards. when the pression inside exceedes the pressure outside it will stop taking out the ink

Hi, I just tried it, unfortunately the oil or water just drips out somehow! even though I found the tiny holes and tried fixing it with hot glue. It just wouldn't work! Any suggestions? PS- I destroyed 3 pens for this!! :'(

There is a small hole in most pens (idk why) but that is where the water is leaking. Or, maybe, the top isn't sealed off or something 😂

i have to be honest when i say i like Karina Garcia's pen better, but with ingredient's, these are things you can easily find and probably already somewhere around the house, tbh this one is just more realistic. (sorry to rant, but for me its just something i noticed)

The water will not ruin the ink, I assure you. If anything, the hot glue at the end of the ink tube will cause the pen to stop writing due pressure differences in the ink tube and the water surrounding it.

DON'T COVER THE INK WITH HOT GLUE GUN OR OTHERWISE THE INK WON'T COME OUT!!! I just tried making it and the ink just didn't come out. Then I took away the hot glue gun and it worked!! The "lava lamp" won't mix with the ink unless you shake it too hard, anyways.
And choose the pen with a big gap inside so you can have the "lava lamp" flow! My pen has a very little space so I can just fill a very little amount of water and baby oil and the liquid won't flow
I made a bubble pen but its awsome! Now it writes better then it did before! Thanks
