I’m back after watching the second round and getting so excited to play that I ended up making adjustments to my own build. I don’t own the BT 7 Dorimon so I am running the SoC one typically. But I do have the BT 12 Dorimon that lets me draw a card when attacking. It isn’t a once per turn. So I was testing out my build with that egg instead and it fixed my decks hand problem. Unlike the other Dorimon, I am often drawing two cards per turn once set up. This in turn lets me generate more extreme combos or just have a better grind game. I was ending my turns with around 12 cards in hand pretty often. This is because once I get into my Level 6s, I am deleting my opponents Digimon while drawing cards and playing back a Digimon from my trash which can let me add more cards to my hand or let me fill up my trash with different Dexs to help control the game even further or combo with Death X Digivolution. Combine that with me running a lot of tech cards with this new draw engine and I am generating much more advantage than before. I might stick with this egg for quite a while until I get the BT 7 Dorimon. I might prefer the early game card draw over the late game double draw. I should also probably mention that my build is drastically different than the one in the video. I don’t run the Marvin engine nor do I have the Megadramon. I wish I had the Megadramon or the Marvin’s but I don’t own any copies yet. I don’t run Protoform either. It isn’t needed. I instead run the old X Antibody as a two of. It combos nicely with Collision and the egg to let me go into my combos while passing turn and clearing a board. I want to tech out my deck a little more though. The new option for the deck is amazing. It helps bridge the decks combos even more cleanly than before. Also its name is perfect. The Apostle of Doom Descends. It’s just a cool name. I don’t own any copies of the BT 7 Dorumon yet. Planning on getting three of them. I also only have one Defense Training. I am planning on getting some soon. The scrambles aren’t needed for my build since I generate much more advantage than before. Also I recommend running a 3/2 split on the DexDorugamon now. Previously a 2/2 split is what I have been running but due to the new option I chose to remove one non effect Dorugamon to add in a third BT 17 DexDorugamon. So far my build is winning consistently against my other decks. I have 20 different decks including Megidramon, Imperialdramon, and Fenriloogamon. Haven’t tested it against my Millenniummon or Zephagamon decks yet. Those two I just got built and am still learning to play them.

As a Dorugoramon player who has been in this matchup before I have to say that the birds are annoying to deal with without the Dexs. The day that BT 17 released I was at my locals and O didn’t put them into the deck and I faced a really strong birds player. I lost that match because I couldn’t remove their board without killing off my own Digimon. I did put them into a tough spot and they had to change their plans in multiple occasions since I was continuously applying pressure. Note that this was with an extremely incomplete list that didn’t have the new Dexs, didn’t have the right Dorumon, and didn’t have trainings or even memory boost cards. I think I did pretty well that day.
