Oh oh oh!!! This sounds intriguing. I just finished A Head Full of Ghosts and I'm definitely ready to read more Paul Tremblay. And you're SMOKING HOT in that pink jumpsuit mama, respectfully 💗
I got Horror Movie yesterday and devoured it in one sitting, pausing only for a meal, medications, and such. You weren’t kidding about the dread. Loved it.
Love that color on you! It's a great color and that pink is all the rage this summer. I don't do jumpsuits or rompers anymore. Love Paul Tremblay since I read Head Full of Ghosts. He seems to look at horror as a real life trauma. Few things are as scary as peer bullies. It's so difficult to avoid them, if they are your classmates or in your office. Bullying is so traumatizing and I still remember the way I was bullied as a kid. I'll have to pick this one up.
I've loved everything I've read by Paul Tremblay - except for The Pallbearers Club. I am so excited about Horror Movie. I'm all in for psychological terror and building dread. Also, you look absolutely stunning in that jumpsuit!
Paul Tremblay is my favorite modern horror writer. Everything he writes is so meticulously crafted. You can see his science background shine through. He always impresses me - even The Pallbearers Club - lol! I can't wait to read this. Thanks for sharing!
@@WillowTalksBooks People generally didn't like that one - it wasn't my favorite of his, but maybe my adoration of the author clouded my judgement? It's a very slow burn, and I mean VERY. Let me know what you think.
3:16 I don't think they actually locked him in. The Thin Kid was free to go, they even wondered if he would be there when they got back. He just chose to go along with it.
Just finished the book and just wanted to drop by and say how much I agree with this review - the horror/terror distinction sums how completely this book messed with me!!
This book kept taking me away from reality. I'd think about it even shortly after encountering the intense script bits (which ended in mini pauses). After finishing Horror Movie, I felt tempted to dive back in. I feel a lingering from the story that not a lot of books accomplish. A hunger was awoken. I need more books like this one.
I’ve not read anything from Paul Tremblay but you’ve absolutely sold me on this book, gonna get my hands on it right now! (and lovely jumpsuit by the way!)
My copy arrived yesterday and I am excited to read this. Your review of The Last House on Needless Street prompted me to read it so thank you for that it was fantastic! Love the jumpsuit, it’s lovely ❤️
It sounds intriguing! I got burned badly by Siilver Nitrate by Moreno Garcia last year, very poorly marketed as a cursed film horror novel when it was a (slightly) paranormal mystery book. The cursed film aspect was such a minor and under-developed part I thought. The idea of half the book being a screenplay is interesting, I quite enjoyed what Stephen Graham Jones did with that format for The Last Final Girl, and it seems this would actually be a horror book. I'll give it a go. By the way Willow, currently reading Ghost Town by Kevin Chen as per one of your top ten lists a few years back - really enjoying it so far!
@@Silverraine1 I thought it was pretty boring. There are 5 or 6 very long scenes of 3 people sitting in any given room where exposition is dumped to the characters who need it as do we to understand the story. If you like that, I say go for it
that sounds bleak enough for my morbid taste although I will have to be brave reading this one, bullying stories can always break my heart. (so pretty in pink, sister!) 💓
The feelings you describe and the effects this book had on you sum up my experience reading a novel by Samantha Scgweblin called Little Eyes. Not horror exactly, but it stayed with me for weeks.
You have gotten me out of a massive reading slump because i started diving into the horror books you recommend. Thank you, i never really thought I'd like horror but my god i am loving it
I am listening to the audiobook of this: the actors are wonderful! I have 3 hours left, it is so intriguing! I am not an english native speaker, but (another plus for actors) it is read very well, I can easily understand what is happening :)
You talked about this one a couple weeks ago, and got me intrigued. Actually had me looking forward to it. I bought it digitally soon as it came out. I'm about on the last fifth of the novel right now. Edit: I've finished it. Could've been trimmed by about twenty pages worth, but that's about it.
Willow, have you ever thought about doing "books explained" types of videos regularly? I just finished Never Let Me Go last night, and I would love a video of you talking about all your thoughts on it, for example, with spoilers and everything. I don't trust a ton of other people's opinions and thoughts, but you've never steered me wrong.

That jumpsuit is amazing and you are rocking it! 🚀

I have The Pallbearers Club on my tbr but haven’t gotten to it yet. Is it considered more of a dud?

Horror Movie and Bury Your Gays are my most anticipated books
for my summer reading. Thank you for sharing your reviews of Horror
Movie.
Same, Canp Damascus was a complete masterpiece
Wow sounds like a must read , really good summary. Great color BTW
I must read this. His stories have a way of getting under your skin and worming into your brain.
I’m so excited for this one! Getting mine later today from my local indie bookstore.
As always, great video!
I've been meaning to read Tremblay for a few years now. I've heard excellent things about The Pallbearer's Club.
I love Paul Tremblay, and I'm so excited to pick this one up! This is exactly my type of horror novel.
Also, that jumpsuit is 🔥on you! Love it!
Ok Willow convinced me I’m gonna try this book! But also this color is SO cute on Willow!
Literally JUST preordered this yesterday 😁😁😁 i'm so excited
Okay, i'll finish watching this video when i've read it 😅 Gonna go in blind!

Oh yay, I’m glad Ghost Town is getting some love! And thanks for letting me know about Silver Nitrate; I’ll steer clear :)
wait, so if I love slightly paranormal mystery books would I love Silver Nitrate? Or is it also a bore?

Well I’m only 45 seconds into this video and this just jumped up my tbr!
I got an ARC for this and now I'm excited to read it! You speak about books in the most amazing way!
Thank you 🥹
Willow, you intrigued me. Horror Movie will be my next read.
that sounds bleak enough
for my morbid taste although
I will have to be brave reading
this one, bullying stories can
always break my heart.
(so pretty in pink, sister!) 💓
obsessed with this being formatted like a poem
Hahah the chokehold "The Craving" has on me !!!!
that sounds so goooood, now i'm excited to start the audiobook
You are looking more and more beautiful with every movie.
So I read this and loved it
This book sounds really intriguing. I'm off to place a hold at my library... (Oh! That pink look fabulous on you!).

And another one for the list. I have all summer
I'm first in the library queue for this one (always pleasing!). PS the jumpsuit really suits you 😊
Thanks so much!

Love the outfit and just everything!
ok I already wanted to read this book, but now I am really excited to read this!
I’m reading it now!
I just took it as audiobook

That’s a really great idea! I actually think I’ll do something like that in the future!
Nobody is prepared for The King in Yellow from Robert Chambers. 😂😘
Sure, okay. Thanks, guy 🤷🏻♀️
Just listening to you talk about this, is triggering my anxiety.
Sorry 😅
