Hi Dan. I've just purchased one of these. The clasp tightens very well for the lower shaft which you attach yourself. However, the upper shaft won't tighten enough and there is circular and lateral movement. There's also a metal bar which is listed as Rod, lock on the contents but there is no further mention of it. Any feedback you have would be really helpful.
wow. thanks for this. great video! I was thinking of getting the 18V DeWalt... but that's not happening now that I saw your 6 month old one. During your video I started to consider the 54V... but given all my old batteries are not going to work, I'll give that a miss too.... so I need to find a different brand now :-) -My current trimmer is about 10 years or more.... and still in good condition and working well... (but I think its time to go electric). Thankyou so much!
That was a good consideration.. I'll certantly go for Flex now. Good video.
Thanks
The spring loaded catches switch the flexvolt battery into 54v mode, as they are in 18v normally.
Didn't know that. Thanks.
Yea this bloke does not understand 18/54v . A 5ah battery is 18v only . Flexvolt start at 6ah battery
@@jonathanwoollacott52306Ah @ 18v. Flexvolt starts at 2Ah
I'm must have missed the bit of the actual performance. Does it cut???
Great thanks a strimmer review that doesn't show any strimming, quite brilliant.
It's a review of the product quality not a demo of it.

There is a new option, the split shaft one by DeWalt is brilliant. It has the better grips and takes 18v batteries
@@danreviewsitallthanks. Do you have a model number? Is it the XR?
Grazie del consiglio, sto valutando l'acquisto del DEWALT DCM571X1
Felice Di Potter aiutare. 👍
Is the 18v that bad you can get a 3 year guarantee via dewalt, is the handle that bad ?
I have some spare 2 mm plastic cord from my previous strimmer, (Stihl - petrol), is it possible to use this to refill the DeWalt cartridge, please ?
Yip. I think it is 2.3mm and below but we have used 3 mm
@@danreviewsitall Many thanks. Keep up the good work.
And i got 2 18v batterys , cant afford 150 for a battery
