- How to fit front mudflaps to a Land Rover Discovery Sport. The video makes reference to fitting rear mudflaps as well, however, unfortunately the weather was against us. The principle is just the same except you do not have to remove the rear wheel arch cover, just the screw locating the inner splash guard to the rear bumper.
Just wanted to say this guide was superb. Wasn't used for mud flaps but to fix a damaged arch trim. Many thanks.
Brilliant, thanks. Bought some pattern ones and helpfully, arrived with a bag of random fittings and no instructions. Followed your video and had them installed in no time. The 10mm drill suggestion was spot on.
Happy Days. I was lucky that the ones I put on came with a copy of LR instructions.
Just a tip, I marked my holes with the plastic trim in place, removed the screw from the front and put the flap in place then screwed back in holding the flap in position. Frees up your hands when marking.
Hi, just used your excellent video to fit mud flaps, both front and rear, to my Discovery Sport. Wouldn't have been able to accomplish the task without your help - thanks!!
Thank you. this video was excellent and allowed me to install the mud flaps easily and without issue. great job!!
Thanks for your great comments 👍👍
Thanks for the great comments! Pictures always paint a thousand words, but great to know we managed to spread the knowledge!
Yes, good video and helpful, saving time by showing the exact process. Shame the other video about fitting the rear mud flaps was not so informative.

Glad you found this video useful and thank you for commenting. I had hoped that the rear mudflap was similar enough to fitting the front that I could get away with s shorter video - sorry.
Yes indeed, many thanks.
Honestly so much fuss to go through for a simple thing to fit. Manufacturers sometimes fail at keeping simple things simple.
The fronts only took about 10 mins side, the rears 15. Think that’s par for the course? My current E Class is supposed not to be driven for 24 hrs to let the 3M tape stick!! I suppose though they not many people for them these days?
@@mercedes_and_more they could have just added four designated holes for mud flaps and that’s it. I don’t mind spending 30 minutes, it’s not about time for me. It’s about messing with standard equipment, like making new holes, cutting and etc.
Yes you are right. At least on my Merc you use the existing holes (supplemented with 3M tape). The next owner of my DS maybe didn’t like them and would have had to buy new trim pieces - not the best idea 👍
An important video for people like me has a Discovery Sport. Do you have any other plans?

we shall be fitting a detachable towbar video soon, and i shall do some quick practical ones such as how to top up your AdBlue.
I look forward to these. Cheers, thanks for an informative video!
Colin my pleasure. Thanks for the feedback.
