I agree with you 100% about the Grammy Awards. I believe years ago it meant something, but no more. Their record of hits and popularity wins everything, we know their worth. Their music beats 90% of the crap put out by "musicians" of today.
It's nice to see their relationship with parents is great. They are just a bunch of kids having a good time, but serious with their music. They deserve to be noticed more. So much talent.❤❤
Jin's dad & RM's dad are best friends. I've seen clips with various parents sitting together at concerts. V's parent came to Yoongi's Agust D Seoul show when JK was set to perform with Suga (V attended w/JK & Jimin on a different date) to support Suga & JK. V was couldn't go to that day because of his schedule. Jimin's dad owns a Cafe where the boys have eaten and a lot of BTS fans visit. RM's sister recently opened a Cafe and Hobi's sister went to visit & show support. Jimin's dad sent a wreath with congrats. Hobi & V spent time in Hawaii along with their families. V's parents used to used to come & visit and spend hours to get there during training days and his mom always packed food to bring to the members. I believe Jin's parents gave him a credit card to use for him & members if needed. I'm sure there are many more instances that we don't know about.
Jin said his and Joons parents are close. He said their Dads hangout everyday. If BTS had won the Grammy, they would probably have been exempt from the military (like Olympic medalists).

Well my dada passed away 17 years ago at age 56 and he always used to call. My mum on the other hand is not a phone person if I want to speak to her I gotta ring her she will never phone and she only speak for like 10 mins😂😂😂
Thank you for this reaction, John! Totally agree with you about the Grammys, BTS have already transcended the need for any awards. They can attract bigger audiences than the award shows - I think the audience for their after-Grammy live had a bigger viewership than the Grammy awards itself. Also, Jin got a bigger audience than the Emmy awards while gaming in his hotel room in his pajamas. I love how they are openly and unapologetically close to their parents. In one Run BTS episode where J-hope suggested that they turn off their phones, Jin's immediate reaction was "what if my mom calls?"
Grammy or no Grammy, BTS is still my favorite band, still the best in my eyes. But as a fan of theirs, I obviously want them to get the awards they want to get. So even though the Grammy is trash to me, if it means something to them, I wish they would get it.
Because Jimin and Jungkook are both from Busan, their parents are friends. And as for the Grammys, I am with you. They don't need the Grammys for validation.They are the biggest band in the world hands down. they don't need the Grammys, the Grammys need. Huge iconic artists like Queen, Bob Marley, Diana Ross, Jimi Hendrix, ABBA, The Beach Boys never won a Grammy.
