So rare for them to be mean it’s like seeing a unicorn. Pebbles: usually don’t talk, Shelly’s: they’re okay. They’re kinda a spectrum of all the things I’ve seen. Remember: I DONT MEAN THIS ABOUT EVERYONE. DONT COME AFTER ME CUZ I PLAY AS A LOT OF THESE CHARACTERS
Ngl the Shelly’s I encountered are always with the mean vees like one time I was a Rodger on a main hunt and sprout killed me bc I was Rodger and they said “RODEgEr LoWErs MAin TO cOMe OuT” which is not true and the vee was being rude and calling me a child and Shelly was to when vee said I was like what did I do?

People should be allowed to say that they don’t want Shrimpos in their run because it is theirs. They also have the right to get upset when someone purposely joins as one, but I do think the person in the video overreacted. I don’t understand why people get upset when someone wants to leave out certain toons in their run. As long as they are being kind about it, I see no issue.
Depending on the run it is really annoying for players who just want to play the game. I hate being expected as a bad player when I'm not. I don't want to change because I was genuinely looking forward to playing that certain toon. I also try not to join the runs that say no starters bc i don't wanna be rude but sometimes I'd just try to reason with them. The thing is they're usually unreasonably rude about me even suggesting it. If they responded nicer, I would just wait around for some other run but no they don't choose to talk like a decent human being. Also, when I manage to convince them, I have to prove myself because if I get hit ONCE early imma look like a bad player. 😭 So the answer to why people get upset is because they're excluded from playing the game and are forced to play a toon they didn't want to play. The reason changing is such a big deal is because playing the same toon gets really boring and people need variety.

I feel like as a fellow dandy’s world enjoyer we should be able to not have to do a whole scooby doo chase just because somebody wants drama. FR, its so simple to not join a run thats saying "no shrimpos!!" if you're playing as shrimpo, just don't join that run and join another run or if there are no other runs join another server?? at that point you're causing unnecessary drama, both sides are in the wrong imo
I also outlived my game once as shrimpo! Except the server wasn't mean, they didn't really care that i was still alive until i reached like floor six and still didn't lose a heart until twisted astro spawned. I managed to survive until floor fourteen, but everyone died at floor thirteen. I also finished my shrimpo mastery that day.
I think the reason most people are upset with shrimpo players isn't because of the player themselves, it because of the toon. Shrimpo has 1 star on all his stats, and, a lot of the time, that makes it harder to survive and finish floors for other people (distractors losing aggro, machines being finished slower, distractors worrying about protecting shrimpo, etc). Even though you seem to be pretty good at playing Shrimpo, and not greifing, it's still harder and trickier to play with Shrimpo in your team. Agh, this was a long comment, but I just wanted to show another opinion in the comments! :D
Honestly, I get that but as a distractor you got to know how close or far to be from the players. Unless the shrimpo is just a straight of doofus that walks into danger the distractor shouldn't have a problem. Also, if the shrimpo player is decent they should be able to get the twisteds off easily and avoid where the distractor is distracting. When I play shrimpo max I do is 2 machines but since it takes long, I try to do one before waiting by the elevator because I don't want to be left back.
2:03 well, if the toon they don't want enters the elevator everyone would leave and go to another elevator, and if that toon follows again, they might do the same thing, causing everyone to run around just to get rid of someone, which is pretty annoying
its just a bit more tedious to open the team creation channel and advertise your server and hope people actually join and you arent left hang to dry with like- 2 other people in the server, just so you dont get a shrimpo. sometimes you wanna get far in a run and randoms in public wont cut it, even tho its the easiest way to get a team
As someone who has mastered Shrimpo, I never really saw this. Sometimes you just gotta get unlucky to get people like this. Or I guess lucky since you got content out of it.

I personally don't like people who play as mains because in my experience they're all entitled and rude, one time a gang of mains griefed a shrimpo only run I was conducting. (shrimpo only run for funsies) But astros are somemof the nicest people I've met :) one even sacrified themself since I (a shrimpo in that round) died.
Dont join a run if a person doesnt want that specific toon in their run .. it just ruins it , especially if youre playing as a toon then switch last minute

its crazy because yesterday i was playing as shrimpo and i outlived everyone, but there was this one tisha who also outlived everyone with me, i had to leave so i guess she outlived me as well! and because of that run, i was one step closer to getting vintage shrimpo! Mainly cause distractors will have a harder time if (shrimpo and Brightney join) bc of low stealth. Toodles and starters (usually med stealers and may pick up rodger capsules/run in rnd circle). Just things I've experienced and the no toon runs that exclude for example shrimpo the shrimpo is like " I have astro and you aren't getting my help)
Maybe they don't want boxten or Poppy's because they might ruin their run because their a starter (and don't give me the "just let them join the run and help them learn" they can get in a ele themselves or look at the tutorial , that's how I learned)
2:05 some people dont allow starters bc sometimes they are doing a dandy run and the starters will buy it happened to me today. (Except with a toodles) (but toodles is the cheapest character other than the starters and shrimpo)
Hey so! 2:02 people can host THEIR OWN runs and not want certain toons in it… it’s not a problem at all.. and having to friend people just to go to a private server is very annoying, I know it’s is it a character in an elevator but it could literally ruin the team by arguing… and if people are arguing they most likely aren’t gonna be paying attention and die.. still just don’t join runs you know your not allowed to join..it ruins the experience for a lot of people 😀

hosnestly(im very sorry) im gonna have to side with the other people, didnt they already say 'no shrimpos'? i feel like they said that for a reason. maybe they want to get to a higher floor and just dont what extra weight to feed. kinda like 'no poppy n boxtons' but if they already EXPLAINED they DONT want a certian toon on their team its best to not pick that toon to get 'content' for a youtube video.
With -99 stealth you can even save lives sometimes, I find it fun to pull off that kind of stuff, specially in panic mode with the vanity mirror trinket and see people praising you for saving them
The reason why I hate shirmpo, it’s because they are legit the worst toon in the game and have all one star stats, I have nothing wrong with the toon but if people play as him it really slows the run down and they are first to die and is always in the way and it really annoys me ALOT.

its just a bit more tedious to open the team creation channel and advertise your server and hope people actually join and you arent left hang to dry with like- 2 other people in the server, just so you dont get a shrimpo. sometimes you wanna get far in a run and randoms in public wont cut it, even tho its the easiest way to get a team

As someone who has mastered Shrimpo, I never really saw this. Sometimes you just gotta get unlucky to get people like this. Or I guess lucky since you got content out of it.
I agree that hating on someone because they chose shrimpo is bad, but the reason people don’t allow specific toons in their run is because they probably had a bad experience with someone who used that toon, and really want to get far in their run. I understand why someone wouldn’t want Shrimpo in their run, because Shrimpos *USUALLY* die quickly. That clearly wasn’t the case here though. ( Not hating on shrimpo or anything I’m a shrimpo fan.)

Mainly cause distractors will have a harder time if (shrimpo and Brightney join) bc of low stealth. Toodles and starters (usually med stealers and may pick up rodger capsules/run in rnd circle). Just things I've experienced and the no toon runs that exclude for example shrimpo the shrimpo is like " I have astro and you aren't getting my help)

Maybe they don't want boxten or Poppy's because they might ruin their run because their a starter (and don't give me the "just let them join the run and help them learn" they can get in a ele themselves or look at the tutorial , that's how I learned)
