What was the on field umpires call And the final decision is communicated clearly to the on field umpire

Off sides should be something that is never wrong. It is a matter of fact, they are either on or off. It was a procedural error; var made the right decision of a goal they just didn’t know what the decision on the pitch was, for example instead of a the game starting with a kick off in the normal spot in the middle of the pitch, it starts with a penalty kick. To say everyone gets such errors is laughable. I don’t necessarily want a replay but would would it take for most people to want one? What I do want is more clear rules and consistency for things like what is a hand ball.
The refs & VAR are under pressure to make the games flow which is the big thing they added this year. But because they are rushing they are not communicating properly. It needs to be toned back to simple language & maybe same as women's World Cup, an announcement of the decision, 'after review, decision Goal or Offside'.

Off sides should be something that is never wrong. It is a matter of fact, they are either on or off. It was a procedural error; var made the right decision of a goal they just didn’t know what the decision on the pitch was, for example instead of a the game starting with a kick off in the normal spot in the middle of the pitch, it starts with a penalty kick. To say everyone gets such errors is laughable. I don’t necessarily want a replay but would would it take for most people to want one? What I do want is more clear rules and consistency for things like what is a hand ball.

The refs & VAR are under pressure to make the games flow which is the big thing they added this year. But because they are rushing they are not communicating properly. It needs to be toned back to simple language & maybe same as women's World Cup, an announcement of the decision, 'after review, decision Goal or Offside'.

before VAR we had offside goals given and onside goals taken. this was accepted because this actually balanced itself out over the course of a season. With the introduction of VAR these human mistakes were supposed to go away but they havent. So why even have VAR? overall its a negative impact on the game.
