where did you get the 90% from, what research paper? I've been going really deep on my heavy sets for about 2 months now and my progress is good, i bench about 30kg dumbells(my weight is 60) and going deep has been growing me also my joints are probably the healthiest theyve ever been
I won't even call it decent adive as stretch part of lift is very important especially for the chest, so go for lighter weight or do some other exercise and If feel pain in shoulder during lift it means you have rounded shoulder so fix them first. hopes it helps you guys

If u do half reps toh injury ke chances boht badhenge kyoki waha pe aapki strength nahi rahegi and body compensate karegi kuch dusra muscle use karke and u get the idea 3.hamari muscle me rubber band jaisa elasticity hota hai toh jab stretch hota hai toh ham jyda power generate karpate hai isly every top benchpresser touch their chest 4.agar aapko shoulder issue hore bench karte waqt toh apne apni form ,arch,grip positioning pe dhyan dena hai aur firbhi agar problem hori toh quite bench press for sometime and do other good variation simple there is no must do exercise
