You really got yourself a gem there sir, deluxe interior, all the goodies, love it, I myself got a 70 ih 1200d with a 345 and a 4 spd, sweet truck excited to get it back on the road
Good solid IH truck. Front disc brakes were certainly a "thing" on a few domestic passenger car models even before 1972, but came later for pickup trucks. 1974 was the first year for front disc brakes on the 3/4 and 1 ton IH trucks. "3 on the tree" is a nickname for a 3 speed manual transmission with steering column mounted shifter. Your truck has the Chrysler Torqueflite 727 three range automatic.
Wow! The floor is intact! Up here in New England, those floors didn't last long. Finding one intact is next to impossible! If you DO find one it's $$$$$$
Everything is intact in this truck. It originally resided in California & then New Mexico. The roads are not salted during the winter, so wonderful for this truck. Thank you for stopping by.
All IH manifolds were designed this way. There is a separate valley pan under the intake manifold, so the intake does not sit on the block, only the heads. That’s why it sits so high.
