Dawn: As I was reading your comment, I thought your pic was that of a beautiful Maine Coon. Was this my imagination. I love all cats but have a special love of Maine Coon kitties. Kitty was stunning! Colette
@@stimpyfranklin8052 no that picture is of my Coraline kitty. She was a short haired kitty who past away December 10 2023. She has cancer that was undetected and thyroid issues. She was a very special kitty. We called her sassy pants because of the way she would walk down the hallway! I do have another kitty that if fluffy black and white that is part Main Coon. Her name is Morticia. We nicked named her monster because she is a brat at times! Lol
You are a saint. The patience you have to give the injection is amazing. I've had injections in my toes and tears just started. Dentist do the same thing. You an amazing doctor. Your patients are very fortunate to have you.
That's awesome that you're doing that with that painful numbing agent! That is worst pain when I need stitches or staples. Never had someone go slow in me.
The freezing in the toe is sooo incredibly painful! When i got my ingrown toenail fixed, that was the worst part. It stings soo much. I love that you'll gentle with it, the doctor who did mine i think he just jammed it in as fast as he could 😢😢
Wow you were so gentle as your worked with that big toe. I found your video one of the best in a long time. If it was any other ones who rush on their videos I'd give it a a big minus 10. Yours was so enlightening to watch and gonna watch more of yours from now on thanks.
Sorry for the 3rd comment lol but i was rushed with the removal of two ingrown toenails (one on each big toe) and i couldn't believe the amount of blood on my dressings by the time i got home. You're a wonderful, patient, considerate Doctor ❤❤❤ thank you for showing that they are out there❤🙏🏻🙌 🏆
Thank you for being so attentive to how your patient can have the best experience while you’re administering the anesthetic. Going slowly really does make all the difference! I was also impressed by your rationale for not using a tourniquet so that any lingering infection can come out with any blood. I never thought about that before. Thanks for posting, cheers
I love your comments and your bedside manners. That's how i felt when i saw my cardiologist he rushed me through my visit abd sent me home only to end up in the hospital.
But did you really need to remove the nail? It didn't look like it was infected before or after you removed it. I only saw a little bit infection at the bottom of the toe.
When it’s severely infected a tourniquet is not always best since infection can be further pushed further back into the tissue. Plus we want any infection to drain out with any bleeding. The nail bed tissue should not be “cleaned” up too much since damage to the nail bed will result in a damaged nail or non-adherence of the nail plate to the nail bed.
I just watched a video where the Dr injected once around where you did, then bit higher, then in the side of the toe! Took her another 3 goes into the side to numb it! Surely the way it's done here makes it easier!
Wish I’d had a foot doctor like you, they did in fact traumatize me pushing that needle as hard and fast as he could and I’ll literally never trust a foot doctor again. I’ll chip away at my own foot first.
I had ingrown nails removed. I told the foot doc I could feel it. He told me he couldn't numb me any more. And he also never turakit either. I was crying it hurt so bad.
Wonderful. I wish you were nearby. I dropped my husband 60v lawnmower battery on my toe tonight. Smashed the heck out of the toe and the nail bed is still bleeding hours later . Dang but toes hurt.
I love how you explain your rationale, and take your time to really care for the patient!
You’re so thoughtful of your patients. It’s not a race. Appreciate you for taking time to care.
I wish more doctors took their time with their patients like you do. Wonderful video!

Yup. Now I know why the injections hurt so much. The doctors move too fast!
Love that you take your time and think of your patient.

I really enjoy your videos. You're very thorough and explain everything that's going on.
I appreciate that!
This guys a pro and knows what hes doing !!!
I did not anticipate you removing the nail! But you did a great job!!

Great procedure and a very caring doctor. Wish all doctors would take more time. Really impressed
I like a Dr. who takes their time with me. That's a good doctor.
Take care and stay safe till next time. ❤
😢 that looks so painful 😮 thank you for helping her ❤❤
You did a great job
You were taught well in medical school ❤
I love how you take the time!

Sometimes a simple explanation of the 'why' answers all the questions of "WHERE'S THE TOURNIQUET??" ;)
Wow. I wish every doktors ben like you.😊

You did a great job and are obviously very passionate about your work and patients. What more could you ask for in a doctor?!
Ok. No comments about sissies because im sure this is a vrry nice and very brave lady, that you know whos could learn a lot from.
Nice work, Doc.

Super video! ❤
Thank you very much!
Why did you not use a tourniquet to reduce blood flow and clean up the nail bed and surrounding tissue better?
When it’s severely infected a tourniquet is not always best since infection can be further pushed further back into the tissue. Plus we want any infection to drain out with any bleeding. The nail bed tissue should not be “cleaned” up too much since damage to the nail bed will result in a damaged nail or non-adherence of the nail plate to the nail bed.
Very informative😊
Boy, that nail bed looks kinda rough doesn't it good luck to this patient
Enjoyed this video. Very educational. Thank you..
Glad you enjoyed it!

I've seen so many of these videos and that one was nasty. Wow.
Can I ask why you did not use a tourniquet?
Wonderful. I wish you were nearby. I dropped my husband 60v lawnmower battery on my toe tonight. Smashed the heck out of the toe and the nail bed is still bleeding hours later . Dang but toes hurt.
Thanks
Procedure starts at 4:45
HE JUST TOOK HER NAIL OFF ! 🤯
Will a new nail grow back in it's place?
Excellent work Doc!
Thank you kindly!
That looks painful😮😮😮
Thank you for taking time with your patients. Dr.s rush in and out because the practice is owned by a money hungry corporation most of the time.
I do not practise podiatry, I wonder if you take a swab to ensure it's bacteria, not fungal? Overuse of antibiotics and resistance to them is worrying
I almost fainted when I saw that nail coming off and what was underneath it. 😨
Could a tourniquet have been used?
That look so painful omg
Crazy to lose an entire nail
My toe looked exactly like this and the Dr said I had sepsis. Hmmm??
Was it Chris or Duane?
The anesthesia needle😮
I’d recommend not hiking in sandals. Close toed bare foot shoes exist.
That is so gross!
Hiking, in sandals. Enough said.
Cuatro minutos treinta hasta que empieza a trabajar en la zona…???
That nail polish job was a waste of time 😂
I think I'd rather get kicked in the you-know-whats than go through this.
Wow did someone forget a tourniquet? Looks like a damaged nail bed…
❤
He would nt work on my toe
👌👌👌❤️
Eeeeghhhh ouch
Do not hike with sandals. Not smart at all😮!
Girl, you need some new nail varnish....
