I have quite a clean home, but it is overflowing with stuff and it really needed a declutter so in a bid to minimalise our things I chose 100 things to donate. Q: Where is your accent from?
A: I was born and raised to Toronto, Ontario, Canada but moved to Essex in England when I was 14 years old. Hence my mixed up accent.
Q: Do you work? What do you work as?
A: I worked in Marketing and PR but I now focus on my vlog full time.
Q: Who’s in your family?
A: I have been married to Matt for since 2009, he is the love of my life! We have three sons - Fraser (born 2010), Caleb (born 2013) and Jackson (born in 2016).

A: I use natural lighting 90% of the time and a softbox light during the winter / dark evenings.

I remember how painful it was for me to do this too. I dedicated an entire day to do it, and I was literally crying through the whole process, but I felt so calm and content afterwards. I donated them all, and I was happy that all of these toys were going to bring joy to another little kid. When it was all done, I felt ready for a fresh start, a new life that didn't include baby puzzles and tummy time toys. Our family felt complete.
AND 6 DAYS LATER I HAD A POSITIVE PREGNANCY TEST IN MY HANDS.

love this idea. it's amazing how many things we can immediately get rid of in our homes. Well done Emily!!!
Can I make a suggestion. For each child make a memory bag and put their very favourite toys in it and pop in the loft. I'm so glad my mum did this. My toddler is now playing with the toys I loved and loving them as much as I did. It's so special. Obviously you can't keep everything but it gives you such a sense of your personal history and it's lovely to share the games you used to play with your children.

I know!!! My 3rd (and most likely last) just turned 1. And there are a lot of stuff that we are getting rid of now. It's sad, but also quite liberating to de clutter it! :)

It takes a lot of guts to part with things with lots of memories! My mum has to get rid of four kids worth of toys. She did keep a single box of the best baby/kids toys for her grandchildren. My son has loved playing with the toys I played with, and it’s so nostalgic to see them again 💕 so don’t feel bad for what you keep too

Well done Emily!! It's so hard having to get rid of those memorable things. I held on to my kids things for way too long and it "hurts" getting rid of them but thankfully once they're gone, they're gone and it's such a blessing knowing another baby/child/parent is going to get just as much joy out of it😊... I look at it as "spreading the love/joy" X

Hi Emily, only just got a chance to watch this now. Loved it. We could hold the record for hanging on to things with regards to being emotionally attached - we only this year went through our play room, which is now my study - and our 'babies' are 17 and 20!!!!!
It took that long to finally move on as we loved that room and were always in there. It did feel good though to finally clear it and a lot went to charity for others to now enjoy.
Emily you are given the wildest ideas! My head is racing as to what I could clear, just to get to 100 things! Love this idea

My husband and I easily just got rid of probably 100 items of clothing 😂 it was like 6 garbage bags full of stuff for Goodwill! Have been decluttering around the house too... Feels good to do it once in a while!

I love this video it’s such a great idea. I’ve just spent the last 4 evenings whilst my son is asleep having a huge house clear out and ended up getting rid of about 40 bin bags worth of things! It felt so good to get rid of it all. I think I’m going to make this a challenge on a more regular basis to try and stay on top of it x

Wow, can’t believe it only took you an hour. I have recently got rid of all my boys clothes as we are experiencing our 4th (last) baby and it’s a girl. It’s feels so good 🙌🏻 but sad all at the same time.

I just told my 17yr old she needs to get rid of some stuff and she said “I can’t get rid of the soft toys because of their little faces”. I’ve got my work cut out I think!

Yeah stuffed toys are the hardest lol when i have kids im not lettinf them watch toy story or theyll feel guilty and never be able to give them away haha.
You might try unstuffing the soft toys....look for the seem on the back...open the seem then pull out the stuffing. Then you have what the stuffed animal plush industry call : skin. The skins are shipped to local manufacturers who then stuff the animals....like the Build A Bear shop or other manufacture. Skins minus the stuffing saves shipping costs. Also the large plush stuffed animals can be unstuffed for moving then restuffed at your new home where Walmart, JoAnn Fabrics, Michaels or any sewing shop have the polyfill stuffing. A bag of polyfill stuffing costs about 3 to 5 dollars. If soft plush stuffed animals are donated to one of the major charity shops and are not sold, then the plush stuffed animals are bundled on a pallet and sold to a recycler who shreds them into small pieces for the manufacture of under carpet padding. Several You Tube videos on what charity shop do with the clothes and toys that they can not sell ....see recycling.
You could keep the plush stuffed animal skins in a box for your kid to enjoy that cute face in the future. Love watching your videos.
