queenvaru I'm making a Lightforged Hunter, I think after spending so much time away from Argus she'll want to reconnect with the lifeforms on there and will tame and keep some of the native creatures there as companions.
Also. Would this work? My Lightforged was once a Draenei following the standard race lore. Comming from a family of heroic paladins. Lost her parents in the crash. Her and her younger sister helped the Alliance defend Azeroth. Confronted a worgen warrior that lost control and accidently killed her in a brawl. Valkyire took her soul before Odin and the Halls of Valor. Sometime passed until the valkyire told her, her bravery is needed on Argus. They brought her back, and she took the test to become lightforged. Passed and her adventure begins there. good?
1. Draenei age slow, but they age. Lightforged are fully immortal, if not killed by a brute force 2. The trial to become Lightforged is deeply personal and make a great opportunity for storytelling 3. Lightforged Warframe is the best possible mount for lightforged, in my oppinion. 4. All Lightforged story characters in the game got incredible determination and willpower. They seem to never feel doubt or depression, only rage against evil 5. All Army of the Light weapons seem to be powered by argunite, and perhaps it is similar to azerite from BfA That is what i personaly noted, while playing on Argus
If their cells are in constant regeneration... how are the getting wrinkles and graying hair? Or getting old? that makes no logical and scientific sense.
For Draenei RP, remember that they age, unlike Night Elves. Your character is immortal, but like a lobster. Also, I just L-O-V-E Queen's Southern US accent. Every other WoW UA-camr is from the UK, I love hearing my own accent.
Gonna chime in and mention that it seems that T'paartos, the flagship Lightforged draenei who you team up with to find out what being Lightforged is all about, is from Draenor, based on what we see in the Forge of Aeons. It's not at all farfetched for a draenei from the main universe Draenor to have joined up with the Army of the Light and fought alongside them against the Legion, and was considered for the trial as T'paartos was.
Thank you! Took me forever to find out where they actually came from and why they are different. There's really not a lot about them. Have fun Roleplaying!
Now that we have lightforged Rogues, I'm thinking instead of shadow magic to stealth, light magic, to bend light around you! Admittedly, I'd love to find others to RP with, but I'm on a dead server on the EU servers.... So... Poor Harxari will have to sit alone in the well lit shadows.
When you think about it, the light in warcraft is a real bitch. Nubundo is a good guy and worshipped the light faithfully, but because of being exposed to fel, not of his choice but because of the legion dumping it there, the light just gave up on him, and never answered his call, yet he, despite this, tried to remain faithful, and even when following shamanism, remained faithful. It reminds me of the scene with Illidan, when Xe'ra tried to force the light on him to 'heal him', when he killed her, not having any of it, that he earned the scars he had. That is the real face of the light in warcraft, something that just as much as the shadows or fel, would force you to obey it.
I don’t wanna be the guy that replies 2 years later. But I believe the reason Nubundo couldn’t use light magic was because of the red mist derived from red pox which itself was derived from seethes blood which is void.
I've actually been playing with the idea recently of roleplaying as one of the Lightbound from alternate Draenor. Like he got accidentally caught up in the magics that pulled most of the Mag'har to Azeroth. Having stealthed away from Horde lands, he hopes to continue to spread the message of the Light and convert others as the High Exarc taught him.
The very presence of Lightforged is painful for demons to be around. The light their brandings shed is like dripping acid on their skin and the sight of their unique sigils (every lightforged is apparently subtly different in how they are marked) is repellant to felspawn. Lightforged cannot be corrupted or influenced by fel magics to twist or manipulate- their minds and souls are anathema to all things unholy and evil. The only way therefore, for demons to remove the threat of these golden warriors, is to best them in combat... no small feat. While few in number, the Lightforged are as an elite fighting force as can be found anywhere. Each is a hardened veteran of countless battles with centuries, even millennia of experience and training. Forged in battle, blessed by the Light, they are the shining sword that pierces the heart of evil in all it's forms
I’ve recently stumbled upon this video Again and I’ve decided to Try a Lightforged Draenei Warrior 💖 This will Help me a lot and I’m glad that I found it again ❤️
8:20 as someone who usually doesn’t care about role playing I feel like this could work because your ability to use the light is connected to beliefs, your character could say something like “I’d even become a demon to fight for the light if I had to” so your character would have a more power hungry side to fanatical worship of the light. They would basically be outcasting themselves for the greater good of the light and they would stay lightforged because their so fanatical about it
A couple of minor quibbles: draenei shaman became a thing in the interim between the fall of Shattrath and the crash of the Exodar, not after the latter. And there's nothing to suggest that shamanism cuts off contact with the Light; if it did, uncorrupted draenei (as opposed to Broken) shaman probably wouldn't be a thing. (For instance: Nobundo didn't become a Broken _because_ he was called by the elements. He was exposed to and messed up by the red mist, and _then_ was called by the elements at a low point.)
I'm building mine a bit on the risque side but for the general RP and someone who intends to be strictly Retribution I am struggling on if I want to be Bulwark, Vindicator or what other fancy "classes" I could add to it.
I'd like to argue Varu, I know this is a 4 year old video, but Lightforged CAN become Shaman, Velen's draenei can be shamans and go through the lightforged trials. :( I want the customization
I appreciate the information about LF shamans and I'm sure others will too! I have and will always tell people as long as it makes sense then I say you should be a-ok! I suppose you could pull off being shaman by being a hunter because mail sets. Unfortunately I have stopped paying attention since BFA came out and do not keep up with the lore anymore. Blizzard has been moving towards the idea of making all classes available for all races whether it makes sense in the lore or not. I fear what I have made here will be completely old, outdated, and obsolete information one day. Thanks for stopping by! Happy roleplaying.
If you are over 20k years old, super smart, magically gifted, and spent time in the Twisting Nether (where time moves faster and you don't age), how can you only have one class? Wouldn't you live long enough to master at least two classes?
I still think from a story perspective, it's pretty unfortunate that they are making Lightforged Death Knights. They need to give us a really good explanation for that, otherwise it's going to be difficult to roleplay for those who want to.
You have to level the allied race from 20 to either 110 or 120 (not sure now in bfa if the legion races get it at 110) and you can’t buy a boost or race change you won’t get the armor that way. If I remember right once you reach 110 or 120 either a quest will pop up or just go visit captain fareeya in the starter area and if there is a quest that should be it, I THINK I’ve only leveled a nightborne all the way. Its been a while!
queenvaru I think it's largely because alleria was poking directly into the void. Just using shadow, and balancing it with the light should be easy for most lightforged as im sure they undoubtedly understand balance.
Hey i got a question and hopefully can get an answer to it here, as you are obviously much more into the draenei/lightforged draenei Lore as i am. As the Lightforged Players start at Lvl 20, they will probably level at some time in the WoD Content, aka Draenor. But is it actually possible lorewise to be a Lightforged draenei at that point of time? To be honest i haven't quite get what the first time was that we met the Lightforged Draenei and how common they were.. Sorry if it is hard to read as English isn't my native Language..
Hi! At the time we went to Draenor it is not possible lorewise to be lightforged back then. We met the lightforged in Legion Expansion when we went to the Draenei homeworld of Argus. There were never any lightforged on Draenor/Outland. Where it gets tricky is how the heck and when the lightforged Draenei picked up Alleria and Turalyon from Outland! Maybe someone else here knows? The lightforged we make today are told to go and explore Azeroth. It’s possible to go to all these places but they never were naturally there. Half of the Draenei were on the ship xenedar which the lightforged were on and the regular Draenei were on the genedar which crashed in Outlands/Draenor. Hope that answered your question! Thanks for asking!
Oh and POSSIBLY you can be a regular Draenei who comes from the genedar who was later turned lightforged. They never said how long it takes to become lightforged so that’s always a possibility!
My guess is they died somewhere in BFA and were raised by Bolvar Lich King. When you make a new DK of allied race or panda variety it's vaguely touched on by Bolvar Lich King basically we need more soldiers and that's about it. Idk I quit playing and quit following the lore. Good luck & have fun!
Anyone have tips on how my Lightfirge draenei becae Highlord and had weilded Ashbringer and did the Highlord Charger questline? Would she had been there to do that stuff? I had this idea that there was a adventurer after Fordring died. Whom went through all that stuff, then met my Lightforge going into Argus, then got gravely wounded but in her last moments she passed on Highlord, her mount and Ashbringer to my Lightforge, thinking that she was righteous enough to pass on her legacy.
I would personaly never recoment to add Lore weapons or lore quests into your character story. Since every Paladin you meet could do the same. And naturaly there cannot be infinite Highlords who did the same things. Rather write your own story, one that is both in tune with the lore bit still enjoyable for you.
Seems a boring species... Even lightier Draenei... Very boring. They should have added a thinner version of male Draenei instead 😅 You have a funny accent tho😊
What class are you making your Lightforged Draenei?
queenvaru Priest(ess). All about the Light, baby!! ✌
I made two Paladin LF Draenei. :D (one for leveling)

Hunter called Hataaru.
I can also see Lightforged Mages using fire magic like how Ashbringer and Light's Wrath kind of blend fire and holy in cleansing fire.

Lightforged beings do not age. That's why Turalyon is over 1,000 years old now.

A common flaw for lightforged is they're like NO WORSHIP LIGHT NOW

HUGGNNNN
I never wanted to make them Too old... Mine is actually closer to 9 thousand. But... Is it possible to be born on the Xenedar...???????
I was thinking the same thing. I don't see a reason why not, Soldiers have downtime too.
will the forge of light still work if you're an engineer instead of a blacksmith?
I have good news! I just tested it out and YES you can use the forge of light for engineering too!

Lightforged do use Shadow. One of the Lightforged NPC is discipline, which means balance between the two.
