Making a mini hand saw that can change the jigsaw blade quickly

  • The Jigsaw lifting rod was purchased as a spare while exchanging parts previously. Mini hand saw was made using lifting rod parts.
    Various saw blades can be changed quickly, and broken saw blades can be polished and used as knives.
    I think it would be useful to make a different handle shape and use a broken saw blade as a carving knife for detail work.
    Thank you for watching and subscribing. Have a good day.

    I use the Craftsman Tap Driver 9-5217 as my manual T-shank blade holder.
    It also works on regular jigsaw blades too. I even have extra steel cutting blades stored inside the handle.

    Muyoung Workshop - Very nice design with good attention to detail. A durable handle that can be used for multiple saw blades is a great tool for those with limited space in their kit.
    An eye bolt instead of all thread for your locking shaft would make the locking nut superfluous and allow the tool to hang from a peg board or a carabiner.

    This would make an excellent ultra-light saw for camping/hiking. If not adding the wooden handle (to reduce weight), exactly how long of an M6 bolt would be needed just to lock the blade in? Would it still be 110mm needed?

      @MuyoungWorkshop  2 роки тому +2

      hello. nice to meet you.
      The length of the m6 bolt is about 11 to 12 cm. There should be room to turn by hand at the back. I think it would be better to use it by cutting it with an ample bolt.
      Thank you for watching. Have a nice day😀

    Very ingenious, I have looked out for a jigsaw blade handle for some time. what is the size of the thread on the threaded rod that you used for the blade clamping screw?. Thanks, Dave.
