Spectacular property overall. That small change in one area, has made a dramatic change. Looking forward to the transformation of the rest of the garden. Love your designs.🌴
Such a fun canvas to play with! Nice seeing you Monday. Told mom and she was so cute, she said. "Ohh! You met a celebrity in the garden." Guess I'll have to get an autograph next time.
I am so excited for what you are gonna do with this property! It would be so cool to see big Jasper purple, and those blue green jade boulders you get! Also the giant agave at the driveway I love it! It's massive and a statement for sure I would not get rid of that bad boy
Stunning property. Try adding Aussie native like groundcovers banksia and grevilleas as they survive on winter rainfalls. And introduce gasteria, gasteraloe and haworthia as they are ideal for under the trees.
wowow!!! what a gorgeous place! i love big rocks and those outcroppings are amazing! i'm just imagining some of the wildlife they get up there, altho i wondered if you had to do the spidey walk before going to the back (hello, orb spider season in socal! haha)... simplicity absolutely is going to set that beautiful adobe style house off as it should... your ability to look and find the perfect plants is the best! love this.. can't wait to see more phases! have fun with Lucy!! safe travels to and from.. 🥰🥰🥰
😂Laura, you my first you tube friend. Since then I have gotten more friends just because you were no longer broadcasting videos , do to health or vacations. So be it. But now you are back and you content has changed. I know longer feel it is teaching me or showing me you tube videos to instruct, just the grand revel. Not to say your installs aren't gorgeous but how were they accomplished , that's where I'm. Probably still watch for a while but I want the old Laura back. Please don't disappoint. I know I can move on but I really like YOU. Sincerely
Wow what a great place. I like the idea of subtracting thirsty plants with more boulders mirroring the magnificent ones already in, showing more ground space, planting drought tolerant show stopping succulents. The lines of the architecture are deserving of a cleaner less jumbled landscape. The cleaner more monochromatic look you created already brings a cooler feel.
That area cleaned up nicely and the new boulders gave it pop. This is going to be quite the overhaul, but I really appreciate the scaled down design. And the stunning view of course. 🤩
I love the pines, especially if they are ponderosa pines. Especially since you're at a higher elevation, they just add a really special element. Get rid of the eucalyptus, bleh. Also with the grass... could be interesting to maybe nestle some sedum under them. I do think some well placed grasses add some good texture variation and an element of movement. It'll be sad to see the salvias go 😢 but those don't look like the more xeric salvias that grow shorter and tighter... they look like something we would have in Texas.
Wow, this property is stunning. It feels like such a retreat as is! I'm kind of rooting for some of those plants and trees to stay. Can't wait to see more.
How wonderful! I’ve been looking for a solution under Pines! And this is just spectacular. Currently, I have mulch, but with this presentation, DG is the way to go. You are so right, rock won’t work. I love the grasses when they are all together or near a wall to soften. Wonderful rock additions. The plants are perfect under the pine. Great job TEAM DFS! Shout out to the roses, bougainvillea, Hercules and massive boulders! (a day one and Grand reveal in a single video, wow! Made sense, definitely didn’t feel cheated!)
Wow, it's looking really good!! I love the architecture paired with the simple plantings. Will you be keeping the Dudleya? Those look really nice and large.
Would cleaning up the pine tree trunk of its fiddly branches add to the work of art? They are a bit distracting. Otherwise, I cannot wait to see the final rollout after all of the phases are completed.

Another beauty in the books ❤

Huge property! So much land to take care… Just wonder if the owners enjoy what they have?….
Matilija poppies would be amazing to pepper throughout the slope
Simple and pleasing

Nice ❤

The two areas didn’t get married together. Some barrels need to be placed in the agave area.
🙋
Would Hanna please slow down the panning of the filming. It makes me nauseous. Many thanks.😂

are you using the new iphone?
the clarity is amazing!
🫤 but then again, sometimes my medications mess with my vision 😄
