I love the “step up” habit. My team was asking if we should fight mid-endgame in ranked.. I pinged good spots to rotate inside the zone instead (had Pathy for beacon) and we ended up surviving to the end and getting the dub 💪🏻 Last time I didn’t speak up we got rolled in Promenade..
I've got to learn how to not care about my teammates. I always run in behind them to try and help and die. All the good players I watch don't care at all about helping teammates live and I can't do that for some reason
yeah i would add “turn your comms off and unplug your mic” to this list. unless you’re playing with friends or are in such a high rank that it’s necessary to communicate, no one wants to hear your heavy breathing, or that “he’s over here on me” or “i got put in 25 on one of them” when there’s a perfectly good pinging system, if not THE best game ping wheel with so many options to communicate with your team. Ping where you saw an enemy, where you think you saw movement, ping that you’re watching that area so others can know their back is covered while they grab some ammo, etc etc etc. I am always trying to support my teammates as best as i can by giving them as much information, but through pings. when you’re listening for footsteps in a 3 story building the last thing you want to hear from a teammate is them yelling “HES ON THE STAIRS” or some other ambiguous comment about position. Drop a ping, it’s literally exact. Your teammates can be there instantly if they haven’t already been shot in the back searching through the entire building looking for the stairs. Just ping it. Ping everything. please use the goddamn pings!!!!! Even if you get knocked, one of the few useful things you can still do is walk to your teammate who’s still in the fight and let them use your knockdown shield as cover from wherever they are fighting from. stop moving around or crawling away. If your teammate pings “let’s go this way” and you are the knocked teammate, GO TO THEM. They are telling you HERE is safe to revive, because you probably died standing out in the open with no cover in sight for them to revive your knocked ass. Another thing you can do for your teammates while you’re knocked, is to ping the enemy! Otherwise, if you can’t see the enemy, be quiet, don’t ping anything at all until your teammate clutches out that 3v2 or 2v1. Pinging comes with a voice line. So you incessantly pinging nothing just to get your teammate to come revive you when there’s still 1, 2, or 3 enemy squad mates still hunting for your only living teammate, don’t clog up the audio with your “THE ENEMY IS ON ME” ping unless the enemy is actually on you. Because i can promise you if the enemy had sights to your position enough to knock you, he’s gunna do the exact same thing to your teammate when your teammate comes running through the door prepared for the fight and instead it’s just you crawling around helplessly, and now your teammate is confused and looking for the enemy, and then finally tries to revive you to get you to stop pinging and they get one magged by the enemy who was hiding in cover using your knocked butt as bait for a revive kill.
You missed the three most vital parts but you kinda did pick at them though, Vod reviewing, warming up, and practice sessions. Also, the movement part about keeping it simple. I wouldn't say keep it simple, I'd prefer to say don't be careless about it, like when Faide uses his movement. He doesn't keep it simple but he uses all his movement tech effectively and almost never uses it carelessly, especially during fights! So as long as you use it effectively and right! Then it should help you improve on a huge skill gap which is movement. That's just how I see it though. And good work on the Vid! It's a pretty good one that was probably definitely needed!

For bad or average players, even skilled people the #1 mistake I see is the retreat/reset skill combined with positioning/pushing. People think not pushing=retreating or scared to fight. Advancing on teams through open terrain, or up uncovered vertical/incline/bottle-necked terrain is bad and ends your match. Open advancement on flat-ground against a team with just light poles as cover is bad but 90% of people do it every time. In the old BF games these would be the TDM players and they are stuck in Rush/Domination match but can't change who they are.
Yknow looking through this early on, I thought I was just really just bad at the whole game, due to my rough aiming, going for general torso shots, losing the grip to the gun recoil against moving targets (in conjunction with chasing solo enemies and turning "one of these" into 1v3s 😭) So you could not imagine how releived i felt to see "gun skill" in s tier! Still don't quite have a favorite gun but I'll try to catch em all 😎

Honestly I should of made this a skill/habit. Not to throw your game for your teammates dumb decisions!
