- Owl City is the electronic brainchild of Adam Young, who launched the project in 2007 while living at his parents' home in Owatonna, MN. Troubled by insomnia, Young began spending his evenings in the household basement, where a computer and several instruments provided a welcome diversion from his sleeping patterns. He eventually combined those diversions into a blend of electronica and emo-pop, using little more than his computer and various keyboards to record the material. Songs were uploaded to /MySpace upon completion, and Young began attracting a surprising amount of attention on the networking site.
Owl City's first major label album Ocean Eyes was released digitally in July 2009 by Universal Republic. The first single "Fireflies" was chosen as the iTunes single of the week, and it generated intense interest in the album. Ocean Eyes featured guest vocals from Relient K's Matt Thiessen on four songs. It reached #27 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart and "Fireflies" began climbing the Billboard Hot 100. By October 2009 "Fireflies" was a top 10 smash.

On the Wing is my favorite Owl City song, followed by Sky Diver. So relaxing and it was even more relaxing to watch him sing it live. Also, love how Adam, the second guitarist / person on the synthesizer and the drummer are all wearing the same thing. [;
He is such a musical genius and Cool!

Yep he performs in Minneapolis Minnesota and I think owl city is becoming a professional singer like it was from last 7 years ago when I listen to this last year in 2016 ago.

@KittycatLoves320 I think that part as well as "to sing the world goodbye" were meant to be sung by the audience. Either we can't hear them on this video or that audienced suckedd.

That sounds worse because the music you are used to hear is played in a studio, built to project his voice better and to sound better. Then they just add some special effects on the song and on his voice. Therefore, on a live concert, his voice sounds worse because he isn't in a studio. That's why i am not used to go to live shows x)
