Solid axles dont doto well on dunes. Especially diesel. Ive got a prado 120 4l v6 petrol 5 speed manual on a 5 inch lift and 35 inch tires and it eats up every car on the dunes. Im yet to get defeated. Onky thing they beat me on is the wombat holes as right now my rear end doesnt flex as i want it to. But a couole of 6 inch shocks, custom swaybars and superior arms should fix that. Also a locker.
*Ahem* Wilbinga... I know that hill very well in the past and think you might have taken a wrong turn somewhere ending up somewhat south of where you claim. 😉
Good shit bro. Love playing in the sand. Question. Do you use that bastard of a sand mode in your sport or just run 4 high range? I had a run the other day in the new exceed,run 12psi cause sand over here is really powdery and 4H. Didn’t miss a beat all day and not stuck once.
Yeah mate 4h for the momentum and wheelspeed I just keep cautious of how hard the trans is working. Sand mode I love as it holds higher gears. It's awesome on the beach in sand mode as it doesn't change every 2 seconds
The Average Garage thanks for ya reply mate. I’ll hit you up from time to time if that’s ok because you have all the knowledge under your belt after having the sport for a while. I’m only New to the world of mitsubishi and diesels as we’ve only ever had Toyota. Love em but just getting to expensive. Oh took your advice to,catch can going on tomorrow. Thanks again
@@T.A.G So you guys had a spotter on every single dune and blind corner track you were on? I doubt it Mate. The sand flag is one the best insurance polices for driving in place like that. Saved myself and mates a heap of times out there. Saved us from who you may ask? From other guys who drive around there without sand flags. They see us coming. Should be compulsory.
@@tangosucka2000 mate we had measures in place. Not all are on camera. We didn't have flags and I wish we did. But we didn't. We enjoyed our day, no one got hurt, there were no close calls, we had fun. There's always people that will disagree with any situation. But hey. You can never please everyone 👍
@@T.A.G fuck bro you really opened a can of worms with this upload 😂 been going to wilbinga since I was a kid and I or no one I know has ever had a flag up there... You go walking speed around the blind corners and use spotters up blind hills? Genius
I find at binga just run 15 and 10 when you enter the beach. Dont need to send it as it is well used sand is pretty compact. ✌
Binga beach is super soft most of the time. And the tracks are hard packed but the hills are not haha
pretty good vudei mate!! do you have the exact location of the sand hill from minute 4:40? it looks changing... thanks for sharing
jesus those patrols should of eaten up the dunes

@@matsamuels9197 awesome mate. Good to hear.
Any time.
@30sec where is this?
Wilbinga
It's way more enjoyable if we can listen to the roar of the engines instead of that noise on the video
Smashing up dunes going flat out.......and not one sand flag as far as the eye can see. Come on guys.
Lucky we had no spotters either. Or someone may have been safe
