Cinder has been many things in her life thus far: A orphan, a maid (child slave), a apprentice, a murderer, a servant, a saviour, a maiden, a saboteur, a (Grimm)hybrid, a monster, and an outcast. Though thinking about it now, brings me back to volume 5 episode 5, Blake's talk with Sun about what one word would embody certain people made me think about what word would describe Cinder. The one constant common theme in Cinder's backstory, character arc, and life in general thus far as well I would say is "Betrayal".
Cinder’s common word would be “choice”, as it has been her choices that have greatly developed her a person. Some choices were the result of bad things that happened to her but they were choice she made nonetheless.
@@GenZealousI don't know she never chose to be an orphan or who they were adopted by, and they presumably never knew about Salem until Salem wanted them.
Whenever the choral music comes I know I’m in for a good time. The Cinder/Winter/Penny fight from vol 7 still might be one of my favourite fight tracks
Alex bringing back the "Last Waltz" from Volume 2 for her first scene at the Glass Unicorn (21:15) made me so damn happy. It's _such_ a wonderful touch.
The segment at 15:45-15:47 where Cinder and Penny+Cinder have an exchange of blows before flying off the building actually played again in The Enemy of Trust, when Cinder bursts through the ice wall.
I'm almost tempted to call the dance theme "Illusion of a Fairy Tale." I'm not sure it fits Cinder specifically (though it does certainly see a lot of use when she's around), because whose fairy tale it is changes, and who's under the illusion changes (though Cinder does seem to usually be the one to break the illusion, so maybe it does still fit her somewhat). Vol 2 the fairy tale is everyone at the ball, and Cinder's infiltration breaks the illusion that Beacon's defences were impenetrable. In Cinder's flashback, she herself was under the illusion that the Glass Unicorn would be her salvation, when the Madame breaks that perfection by neglecting and abusing her. Next we hear it is in relation to the Lamp's usage, whereupon she orchestrates the seeming fairy tale victory for both Neo and Watts. Neo gets her kill of Ruby, Watts takes down Atlas once and for all. But in the end she betrays both, destroying the illusion, killing Watts, seemingly killing Neo, and getting off scot free. Interestingly, it also appears to be her own fairy tale victory here, as she successfully one-ups Ruby, steals both the Lamp and the Staff, defeats (and seemingly kills) her foes, and Salem's none the wiser. Where's her own shattered illusion? (Maybe that's why we hear Such Arrogance at the end: she'll get her dues, just not quite yet.)
18:10 I'm not sure if it's what you're referring to with "different ideas" in the description, but this tense bit reminds me of a Volume 3 piece where Cinder is rigging the matchups. It transitions to the Amity theme as the camera cuts to the coliseum. But my ears aren't always the best for this stuff, so who knows
Yep that's the big one in terms of "things I've noticed in the last year". At the moment I just refer to it as the Cinder rhythm. Alongside those two appearances, the 'bigger' ones include Cinder's speech In V3 and the fight with Winter and Penny in V7, but of course if you listen closely you'll hear it quite a lot elsewhere lol
I could definitely use the "sub" leitmotif videos, if you still have the time and willingness to do so. I'm struggling to pick out her non-main-melody, non-dance-theme representation bigtime. Sure there's usually chanting, but other than the heartbeat-esque thing I'm really not getting it. Maybe further listens will help, I'm not sure.
Oh god, thinking about it, Cinder and Raven sometimes have similar themes... It may have just been to tie them both into the fight in volume 5, where All Things Must Die plays... It may be coincidence... It has me thinking though... Could there be more of a connection between Cinder and Raven than we realise yet? Maybe I'm just sleepythinking... That could be a very interesting twist though... Based on estimated ages, I don't think Cinder would be another daughter that Raven abandoned, although the idea of Raven abandoning loads of children does seem a bit amusing to me lol. The possible Ruby, Yang and Cinder being all kinda sisters amuses me too... Given Yang's fiery nature, Cinder might make a good pair with her... Ruby wouldn't technically be Cinder's sister then, but kinda?... Oh well, I don't think this is likely anyway... Unless Raven possibly had her pretty young, like maybe before she went to beacon?... I don't know... There could be plenty of other options though... She could be Raven's sister or some other relative... It could just be that they have other things in common... They are both maidens... I don't know... It just caught my attention for a moment lol.
I’m gonna be honest. RWBY’s only good quality is soundtrack. Story-wise and design-wise? Not so much. (PUT CINDER’S RED BACK ON HER, ROOSTERTEETH! She looks like a boring black blob.😩)

Sameee
The consonant version of her leitmotif in Midnight really hit hard

I love how Salem & Cinder's theme is like mother & daughter but a toxic relationship.
Imagine female versions of Madara Uchiha and Obito Uchiha

Yup, it sure did, and also in a couple places in V8 as well.

Holy sh..
Can't imagine how much work it took to make near half an hour of perfection 😳😳
This video is massive! Thank you so much for all your hard work!
Love her themes in the beginning of the video

I am having little nightmares vibes
The opening of volume 8 includes Cinder's leitmotif .
Sure does, it's in this video at 16:38
This sounds like a All Things Must Die Leitmotif
That's because it is. The main melody for All Things Must Die uses both Cinder and Raven's motifs.
Glynda
Raven
Winter
Cinder
Neo has maiden leitmotif on their leitmotif. I feeling like Neo will be Fall Maiden in future?
Glynda isn't a maiden
@@theintelligenceagency3638 I said she has the same tone leitmotif as a maiden. 😤
@@kingraplhmativo5178 when did neo have the maiden leitmotif
@@cloudygamer2.078 Listen to her leitmotif careful. Her slow version of maiden leitmotif.
My Cinder fall ❤
:D))))
Cinder Fall is Aizen's Daughter 😂😂

Nah Cinder in red is getting exhausting. I'm tired of her Ada Wong/Tekken Anna cosplays
Yeessss cinders new outfit is amazing and cool
