Hello! Your bombilla looks very authentic which is hard to find in the stores or online. Do you have any suggestions where to buy good bombillas online? Like real authentic ones. Thank you🫶
I got my first off Amazon my first time I did not like it it was really bitter I put honey i still did not like it but now it's my 2 day but 3rd time drinking it and I'm starting to like it
it's simple, the flavor of yerba mate is very strong (very bitter for my taste) when you fill it with water is sucked by the dry leaves and give off that mild bitter taste (like any tea bag that you soak it again and again get flavor) and no matter how many times you take it still has that mild bitter taste, obviously after several times the flavor decreases and you have to change, but you do not usually take both one or two full teapots.
I am new to yerba mate, I started with Cruz de Malta as you suggested, and am enjoying it. But I have a question: how do you not burn your tongue when making yerba at higher temperatures? Everything above 150 for me is too hot.
2 questions: how often do you refill one cup? And why do you only add water to the water hole but never to the dry, "unused" leaves on top of your mountain?
First: until your yerba mate is "lavado" (ausgewaschen 😉) which is probably by the 5th to 6th refill. Second: the water will make its way to the dry part within the refill process. So you certainly want to slow down on this. If you pour water all over, your yerba mate will become "lavado" even faster and the taste would be too strong.. And don't you ever move the bombilla!
Bro you’ve made like 50 videos of the exact same process it’s so boring seeing the same video shot differently, think everyone understands how to pour boiling water
To everyone starting out with yerba please fill it 1/4 and use little cooler water, i made my first yerba with 90 celsius and half a cup 😂. Had to waste it.

hello. my bombilla is different from the one you use. its filter is just the very same cylindrical straw with some holes on the sides, a spring and a kind of trapdoor that is held by the spring to cover the bottom hole. should I invest in a better bombilla?
Well its dry leaves, it feels like that, the flavor its bitter, but you can put some sugar or honey on your water flask to make it softer, like coffee its an acquire taste.
So you’re drinking the tea leaves and everything? I’m interested in this but a little unsure on how to make it. So you drink from the same leaf portion until it’s gone?
Nono look at the straw (bombilla) it has small holes so u dont drink the leaves. U drink it until its too mild for u. U like make this mountain and stuff and then pour it up with water drink it again and again. And after lets say in a gourd like this 20-25 infusions u can press the mountain on the other side and have some fresh infusions. And when u dont want to drink anymore cuz its late or its too mild for u u wash it out let it dry and do it again the next day. Sometimes u will drink small particles, but these r necessary for the mountain to stand strong
Just wondering, do people drink this just for the caffeine high or does it actually taste good? With all that ground up leaves and just hot water, I'd figure that tastes bitter AF
