Hiya James, some great pickups this month! I am French; I sometimes buy movies when I am in the UK that have not come out on Bluray or 4k in France and the UK blurays play just fine on the 4k blu ray player in France but vice versa is also true (thanks to the reg. b lock)! Also, most of the special features on French physical media is not dubbed but subtitled nowadays so it should be fine for english speakers to watch (dont know if you can turn off the french subs but might be possible). Most menus on French blu rays and 4ks even are available in English (they used to be translated on DVDs though, because you sometimes you had less language options).
You can select 'Français' in the initial language menu and then when you play the 'Film' (as it says on the French menu) it should automatically have the French dub but if not, you can press 'Langues' to select the French dub if you fancy hearing Cillian Murphy in French 😄

Fance and UK are both region B. Many times the Blu-ray is also region free. Regardless, you are in B. Enjoy!

James Europe is region B for blu-ray so even if it has region coding (it doesn’t look like it has) should work fine on your player
I wonder if there's a way to alter the settings on your player to allow it to play the French version. Just a thought.
