Undino me ladies khud kitna tired, irritated, and pain me feel karti hai, to unhe agar routine ke kuchh kamo me rahat di gayee hai to achha hai. Achhar vali bat to 100% sahi hai. Maheene do maheene bad achhar kharab hua milega. Han kuchh galt practices bhi addon ho jati hai time ke sath jo galt hai.

For not touching pickle has a scientific reason,during periods some ladies have very warm hands which are not good to deal with pickles,like we don’t use wet spoons or metal spoons for too long in any sour things. My only point is if ladies don’t feel well during periods why family depends so much on her, men should help during this time.
Actually it is because during period days, women are already tired and these rules were brought in to make them take complete rest. Secondly during period days, body temperature goes up, thats why they dont allow to touch the creepers, pickles etc

I do remember, my mom used to say same thing & not allowed to touch pickle. I used to argue. Scientifically, woman is more irritable during those days because of hormonal imbalances. Different Aura is around, pain and grief and of course chemical reaction. Achar ka kharab hona, wet hand ka lagana ya phir Atta roti wala hath lagne se Achar kharab ho jata to suna hai. At some tribal and remote villagers send ladies out of house for 4-5 days still. Many young girls NGO are working & helping such women. Huts are made for them to live there and are provided facilities. It’s very sad ppl still believe these things.

Imagine living in a mud house with mug floor, walls, etc and with no soaps, napkins, floor cleaners, disinfectants, etc and with girls having periods using some random cotton clothes during their periods. if the blood drops on mud floor or sticks to kitchen utensils then how will you clean it? and since this is blood it has lots of germs and bacterias which cannot be cleaned as there are no soaps, washing powder during old times.
