The wife and I did this from the switchback end a few years back in a stock F150. We got about halfway and and at the bottom we went back up the way we came down as there was some fallen boulders that would have been too challenging to navigate around. All the time we were doing it we were saying "what the F--k are we doing here!". Thanks for the vid. Always following.

Me and some friends took two weeks and hiked the "Big 5" in Utah last September. Moab is a cool little town. We drove the switchbacks in a modified Toyota FJ Cruiser. That drive is absolutely insane. The camera does not do the terrain justice. You have to see it to believe it. Loved that trip.

Props to you for doing the switchbacks in your truck house. I’m sure the UA-cam audience has already chimed in on this, but it’s pronounced pot-ash, not po-tash. It comes from the practice of leaching potassium from wood ash and generating potassium carbonate. The evaporation ponds you pass on the way up are for crystallizing potassium from a mine there.

It belongs to those in whom we have to get permission from to access it. The song should sing..."this land is their land, it is not our land, from the New York island to the redwood forest, this land is theirs it s not ours..." Hey Tim! This is an awesome video!!! So cool to see your journey since I met you in 2017 in an Anchorage parking lot when you still had the sunrader. 😂
What do you recommend to study to understand filmmaking? Yours are so great!

I was very tempted to do this yesterday in my Toyota motorhome after I saw you do it (I'm a lot smaller than you) but I decided I didn't want to change my underwear.

Timmy! Dude... I got a question for you ... perhaps a little out of left field. I was checking out 1 of your older videos (episode 58) where you talk about making a new camper. I was just wondering what the status on that was? Hope you're doing well. :)

That was very narrow at 14:50. I dont think id be comfortable backing up on those switchbacks. Are you using a filter on the drone? The colors are so much different vs the camera.

Very cool man. How do your brakes do on the rig with those slow steep downhills? I got a 2nd Gen cummins ambo and the brakes are terrible on slow descents.

First Off Tim, nice video and beautiful photography. Regarding National Park Fees: You can purchase a 12 month park pass for $80.00 which The annual $80 America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass allows unlimited entrance to , including all national parks that normally charge an entrance fee.
Fees have become an important source of revenue used to improve the visitor experience, including recreational opportunities, in national parks. All the money from entrance fees remains in the National Park Service, and at least 80 percent stays in the park where it was collected.
Entrance fees for national parks predate the establishment of the National Park Service in 1916. For example, Mount Rainier National Park started charging an entrance fee in 1908. Factoring in inflation, the $5 entrance fee they charged in 1914 would be the equivalent of a $123 entrance fee today-more than four times the price of the new seven-day $30 vehicle pass.

I'm Canadian and the best money I spend all year is the Parks Canada Pass and the America the Beautiful Pass. I love supporting these beautiful places.
