Usually in KPOP industry, your fav group’s first studio album either going to be really great (AOTY) or really mid (Bad or Flop so hard). Tbh, I think it have been a really long time since I actually liked the first studio album works a lot, I’ve IVE and Unlock My World are simply outstanding and I hope they will forever keep up the good work like this!

I AM is defintely on the top 3 this year, it's PERFECT. I don't consider myself a fan of them, but I admit, I really admired their latest album. The reason I listened to it in the first place was that I really felt through Kitch and I am that they had crazy potential. I wasn't disappointed. May they continue on this path.
I'm so glad Bouncy is up high in this list. Once you hear that chorus you just get it. Ateez's music is something else. I'm not even going to go into detail about how incredible their bsides were on this new album, but ateez really gave us AOTY and it's amazing how their music keeps evolving and maturing, without losing their identity.

This year IVE has way too many strong contenders to win SOTY (not that they didn't past year, but LOVE DIVE was a culture reset lol) so I'm not sure of them winning SOTY (plus they have a big amount of people that just don't like/hate them so it's hard) BUT. I defo see them winning AOTY. I'VE IVE was just that good. Heck, even the WAVE EP was really good so I really think they have the chances this year

I AM deserves, seriously... IVE’s biggest flex against the haters is not even them SLAYING the charts but releasing incredible music. Other titles I really loved so far this year are Rover, Sugar Rush Ride, Teddy Bear, Kitsch, Bouncy, Halazia ( I know it came out on the 30th of december but WHATEVER ) and Spicy which is my grower of the year even though I liked it anyway from the get go but grew on me even more this past week. This year was underwhelming OVERALL with few exceptions like IVE & Ateez who TRULY shined IMO.
Thanks for putting Bon voyage so high! I feel like not enough people appreciate that song as it should be appreciated!

I Am, Spicy, Bon Voyage and Queencard are just such hard hitters it's insane! Plus their respective albums are crazy good This year has been amazing for girl groups and I'm so proud! Hard, Bouncy, Killer and Super and the albums have also been really good too. Honestly I think 2023 might be the best year we've had for kpop in a while.

I don't agree at all. This is arguably not one of Ive's best songs. In terms of world wide recognition Fifty Fifty should easily win but there are other songs so far that are just better. Even when this video released Queencard dominated over this plus this video was released with half the year left. Super shy just released and it is just incredible. Everglow is having a comeback in August among many other songs to come. But at the end of the day all lists are subjective and up to the listeners preference.

Ok, so I actually keep track of my favourite title songs throughout the year so I have an actual thing for this!
1) Bon Voyage is my favourite song so far this year. It’s just a masterpiece. The album is flawless too.
2) EUNOIA, honestly, I’d put that whole album here because every song is amazing, then again, Billlie and Dreamcatcher have no misses. The biggest flex is that I’ve been following both of them since debut , Dreamcatcher since before they were Dreamcatcher even.
3) Spicy is the first æspa song I liked immediately since their debut, it’s by far my favourite title track they’ve released and once again, the b-sides are all good too.
4) Play On the World(P.O.W.) was so much better than I expected. I liked Love In Space, but POW was just such a nice return to the OG Chebul sound.
5) Sweet Juice was just… wow. I was obsessed when it came out, still am.
6) Teddy Bear was just so cute and fun and everything I needed when it came out. Life was rough and I just needed something fun and cute and bam, STAYC girls got me covered.
7) I AM blew my socks off. They really embraced that rich girl energy and I’m living for it. This will be where my reasoning for the songs dwindles, most of these songs I just like a lot because they’re good after this.
8) Set Me Free, I mean, Sana ate so I have to love it.
9) Groovy, wow the first bg! Probably one of the only ones on this list too, but I recently got back into Cravity and damn, their music is tasty.
10) Young Dumb Stupid
11) Aurora was just chefs kiss. I’m obsessed.
12) Karma by PIXY was everything I needed it to be and more.
13) Pandora was a bop and I’m not afraid to admit that I live for Mave
14) DOXA is iconic. That is all.

16) #menow is a nice return for Fromis! I just prefer other songs in the album over it.
17) Knock, so happy she left Queendom Puzzle cause she was getting the villain arc and Miru was getting the hero arc(which she deserves after being done dirty in Produce 48)
And that honestly where my list stops. I’ve been mostly listening to second and third gen songs lately, I’ve been exploring the groups that I didn’t follow. For instance, I’ve been obsessed with StickySticky by Hello Venus lately. What a top tier song. Fantagio’s girl groups are always overlooked even though the release such iconic music.
