    How does this compare to the colossus 2 from kegland?

    Thanks for your detailed, tip filled, and neutral reviews!
    Also, those SG's are too precise for Sand People. Only Imperial chillers have such precision! 😂

    Just checked the Spike site and they only send to Canada at this present time. ☹️ Hahaha this is reminding me of brewing AG in Aus in the ‘90s😎

    I really want this but nowhere is retailing it in Australia. Emailed Spike and they confirmed nobody here is stocking it. Grrrrrr.

      Yeah, the only place that used to stock their stuff is in a bit of a transition at the moment not sure what is happening right now unfortunately.

    great review video, thanks -is the colossus 2.1 SS from kegland stainless coil inside or copper as a comparison?

    A very timely assessment. I am presently considering replacing my immersion chiller with a CFWC.
    These look the go… thanks for the vid..👍

    A quick question, do you use that Spike All-in-One PVR for both PVR and spunding?

    what pump did you use to push wort in the chiller?

    Just curious, for very big batch, would we benefit of chaining two of theses?

    • @HomeBrewNetwork
      @HomeBrewNetwork  Рік тому

      Batch size shouldn't matter at all, I mean you could daisy chain them if wanting to get down to lager pitching temps but that really depends on your ground water temperature and if your ground water temperature is close to what you want all you need to do is back off the flow rate on the wort output side of the chiller and just use one chiller. Cheers!

    just brought via states & then separate courier to NZ. wondering do u just use sodium percarbonate to clean?

    • @HomeBrewNetwork
      @HomeBrewNetwork  8 місяців тому +1

      Yes I do! I dont go to any great length, in fact sometimes it doesnt get "cleaned" between brews. It gets a good rinse immediately after use with water. Then usually allowed to empty and dry out which can be fun sometimes ;) .. but if I'm running some sodium percarb through my brewzilla or something yep I just hook it up for 10mins. Then rinse. I use my hlt water to sanitise mine while I'm boiling the wort. I've show the use in a few videos, I'll try and find one if you like. Cheers

      It comes out a couple of degrees higher than your ground water, as per any good chiller. Cheers mate!

      I should say it was after a whirlpool of 10mins so it was about 95c I guess, down to 19c
