If you've made it this far into the description box, thanks! Leave us a kind comment and hit that thumbs up button! We love to hear from you!
Deodorant, bar soap, tooth brush tooth paste, extra socks/underware, feminine products for the girls. Would be a few things I'd add just in case, especially since pads and tampons can also be used in first aid in an emergency.
I was just about to say deodorant 😂
This is the kind of emergency where hygiene products aren’t really a necessity so I guess only if there’s room
It’s always good to be prepared!
@@charlotte726 feminine products are necessary
love it i could use that i live in ohio we got snow coming 😂
I think it’s good to mix a survival bag with a to-go / over night bag. So yes, extra pair of glasses, bar soap, toothpaste, doesn’t hurt to carry, or put it in a smaller bag attached to the big bag. Realistically we are more like to run into a situation where we are displaced in a hotel or a shelter before in the woods. So being well prepared for both is essentially. Also keep a copy of your important records in one of the bags too (emergency contact info, a picture of your entire family and pets incase someone becomes lost, local maps with important routes highlighted, Insurance information, pet license/vaccinations, etc.)
These are individualized things that each adult with half a brain can choose for themselves this is just basics they packed 😡 don't come on here and rip them another for sharing something on THEIR page 😤😤😤😤
@@goodkarmaiscomingtoyou1381 They were not bashing them, they were giving very helpful tips to add to a bag that might be helpful. I also know a list of phone numbers incase your cell phones do not work and you have to use another phone to call someone. Most people do not memorize phone numbers like we use to.
Maybe some cash (small bills) for emergency expenditures?! All of the above are Great suggestions-also, any medications that you may be taking! 🥰
@@goodkarmaiscomingtoyou1381 --- no one is ripping them apart they LITERALLY asked what else would you kepe in a bag and everyone is enjoying the community that Crazy Middles have built where people share ideas together :)
Feminine Hygiene for the ladies, an extra pair of socks so your feet stay dry, 3 pairs of underwear just so those parts can stay as fresh as possible if there is no place to shower, and if anyone is on some kind of regular meds, pack 3 days worth in those little day of the week pills things. Love that with such a large family, you folks try to be as prepared as possible, even for the dogs. Much love to you all.
They've packed a general bag you can individualized your own 😡😤😡
@@goodkarmaiscomingtoyou1381 The video asked us what else would we add to a kit. Valerie is literally answering their question.
So cool! I would love to have something like this for me and my littles!
I live in Mobile, AL, we do get hurricanes and tornadoes often. It is soo critical to have emergency kit also a binder with all the necessary certificates and documents to take with you. I will never forget aftermath of Hurricane Fredrick in 1979 and Hurricane Katrina! It was a disaster! Without electric for a while even water etc! Especially AC! It gets very humid after hurricanes! Miserable time! I had to stay in town due hubby was working as a law enforcement officer back then! He’s retired now! I want to thank you guys for doing that!
Am in florida just went threw ian. I am going to make some for my family just in case we have a another hurricane .
I know this is not something you need, but for those of us in a colder climate, some heat preserving blanket and those little heat pads that you activate and then it warms your hands/feet for x hours would be a good idea to pack.
Also, menstrual products for the girls!
Another idea would be a regular charger for your phone, in case there's an evacuation and you end up somewhere with electricity.
And I love that Maya got her own little backpack to carry what she and her fur siblings need!
Me,me,me🤷♀️💞💞💞
Maybe some anti-fungal cream in case your feet get really sweaty without having a chance to dry.
And in the dessert area it cools off much faster than other parts of Arizona. So the heat preserving blanket and heat activating pads would be especially important and useful. Menstrual supplies are a must!! They can also be used for more serious medical issues if needed!!
You should add some cash to each bag. When we’ve dealt with natural disasters, it becomes very hard to withdraw cash, and you can’t always use cards or money transfers etc if power and cell towers are out. Having an emergency stash of cash can be very helpful.
Don’t forget a compass, sunglasses, fire blanket, a map of your local cities/towns/roads also a map of your local mountains/Desert/parks/hiking trails, also bug spray, first aid kit, and lastly some sort of string, rope, or marker so you can draw on or tie to a cactus or tree with that way you can mark your trail as your walking and know where your heading and find help and/or safety
I would love one of these! As a foster mom who lives in a trailer, I think this is a great idea. If there is a fire or tornado or some other disaster, there is no going back to a home afterward. On the same train of thought, I love the idea for foster care. So many kids are in a fight or flight mode when they came. I wouldn't call it a survival pack but maybe a comfort pack with survival and comfort items in it. I love all that you guys do for your family and community! Thank you for being such a great influence in life! :)
I love this. So glad to see you covered everything. As a single mom this would really help me prepare my family for an emergency. Yes i would add first aid kits. Bandaides. Sewing kit. Hygiene kits. Toothbrush toothpaste deodorant comb or brush etc.
I want one! I don't have the funds to prepare one so I'd like to be considered please, but I don't want to take it from anyone that may need it more than I do. I so appreciate your family thank you for sharing it with us. I have frequent anxiety attacks and I look for your videos to relax me, thank you so much for being so calm and consistent. Sending love from Wilsonville Oregon
Awesome kit guys but I would also get, feminine products for the girls, a multi purpose tool that has like a saw/axe so you can make a fire, maybe a mini stove, maybe something for your dogs paws if you have to hike anywhere. But there’s actually a lot of different things obviously for different places in the world x hope this kinda helps xx
Glow sticks, glow bands, hi- vision safety vests, pet's cage/s (maybe put pets' stuff in there) hi-vison pet collars (same or similar colour as your backpack) something hi-vision to put on dog's back-pack, Pain relief from the vet (if you can get it) for your pets, wind up torches (like the radio), different sizes safety pins (can be used for other things as well as bandages) There is a product that has few dry tablets in a pack but when put under water, it expand into mini hand wipes (can't remember what it's called) in case you run out of normal handwipes. Asthma inhaler/chamber and Epi-pens - if not for you, it could be handy to help someone else.
Those travel pack can be used for anything - liquid pain relief in one of those plastic bottle for little kids/babies or its' own original bottle and don't forget the syringe and its' brush as well. Travel pack (or smaller bag for baby's stuff as we all know baby poop or spit up at any times) - can be worn around waist or clip on your backpack). Back carrier or snuggle sling to carry baby/toddler -you might want your hands free and pram/stroller not easy to grab and go or for uneven ground - families and friends can help to carry baby/toddler if you get tired.
I'd better stop now before this list get too loooong ;)
I love this idea! After just going through two hurricanes back to back and so many people losing so much and having to leave your homes mid storm…I’m going to make one of these for sure!
Being prepared is so important, especially when you have kiddos/big families. Love the tips and ideas ❤
Hi why does yous say @kennimeara5880
For those with cats, I know Cody has a cat, have a carry cage, water and food, puppy pads to line the carry cage(in case of accidents) a blanket to sleep on and a small sheet, towel or blanket to cover the carry cage so kitty doesn't get freaked out. I have two cats and they have a carry cage each, plus a spare in my car just in case.
Cody has a dog. When did he say he has a cat?
@@LaurenRReed28 I don't know if he still has a dog.
They told us in the last vlog Cody has a cat and showed us a pic of it.
@@ruthpowell3733 ohh ok thanks must have missed that will go back and look. Maybe he doesnt have the cute brown dog any more then
love that your teaching your kids to be prepared . with all the nonsense that is going on in this country who knows what will happen next. would love to have your emergency pack. you have covered all needs in those bags.
These would have been great when Hurricane Ian & Nicole came through Florida these past 6 weeks. Thank you for showing / explaining everything!❤❤
Fr lol
Amen to that one. I am one of those during hurricanes/tropical storms if I lose power I have a propane stove but I agree this bag would have helped so many. With hurricane Ian the power was 5 days for me but the darn internet took 10days. And when you have a mentally handicapped brother and you have directtv stream use to att tv stream internet is a must have. Otherwise my brother will drive you nuts with his boredom I love him and all but it can be a bit much.
Lots of good ideas no matter what climate you may be in. Packing like this will definitely help everyone not stress as much if something happens it's always great to be prepared. Love that you didn't forget the dogs.
I’ve been wanting to make one of these for forever! Living in Florida things like this may come in handy! Glad to see your family taking precautions just in case things hit the fan, while still having fun!
Toothbrush, toothpaste, hair ties that could be used for all sorts of things in a pinch, shampoo in bar form would be useful, soap, feminine supplies, and maybe a few smaller dog packs for all the little dogs.
Great way to remind me to get ours done! And the dog kits are the best!! And I love the idea of everyone with the same color to spot them in a crowd!
There is something no one ever talks about when preparing this backpacks and I really think is important. I would add at least a compass and paper maps both from the local area and from your country as a whole (as detailed as possible). Learn how to use them without the need of a GPS or Google Maps. If for some reason electronics stopped working for good, people will need to know how to go places without using digital maps and without getting lost. And most people don't know how to do that anymore, specially the younger generations that have never used maps or gone anywhere without a mobile phone. Also add a complete first aid kit that includes basic medicines for headaches, fever, inflammation, pain relief, band aids, bandages, alcohol wipes, bug spray, sunscreen and so on. It may seem like a lot but you may need it, specially if you have to hike somewhere or you somehow end up getting hurt. Also period products for the girls.
I really love this. Being in Florida and experiencing various hurricanes throughout my life in different areas it is essential to be prepared. I've always wanted to make a 72hour bag and a hurricane readiness kit but are never financially able to.
These are great ideas - I really liked the idea of a uniform color to make your family stand out to one another, the handkerchief was a smart multi use item. A stuff sack might make the sleeping backs easier to fit. I live in a cold climate so those emergency blankets you included are key here! I might include a couple extra in my climate as they could be used in conjunction w/ a tent for extra warmth etc. And naturally in this area I would add in cold weather items that aren't as critical for ya'll -- wool socks, some "hot pockets" hand warmers, and a hat/toque.
I would say a definitely needed item is female products. Also I would put copies of everyone's birth certificates social security cards photo IDs and they're just in case if you can't get those items.. you guys come up with the most best things that I could never think of putting together in case emergency happens... I would love 2 have 1
PLANT A GARDEN!! I tried to get crazy pieces too but they say they don’t have a green thumb!! Just make a small kitchen garden to start .. 💚💚💚
The question is to ask your kids “Where does food come from? “ and if they answer the store .. Mom and Dad have some teaching to do ! 💚💚💚
I would probably add a bar of soap, hearing protection, and a waterproof cover for the backpack for when it is not on your body. Maybe one portable pot to warm water up for cold nights over a fire. A trash bag might be a good idea too. I’d love a survival kit! I’ve been putting off making one and this was a good reminder to start gathering things!
72 hour kits are so important! Thanks for the reminder that I need to get on top of these! I’d love to get one! Yes!! I’m glad you added a hard candy that you suck. When you’re thirsty or not that hungry they help to curve that a bit. I know from personal experience.
I just love your generosity, & family! I would love a survival backpack. Few other things i would suggest is feminine hygiene products, small plushies for the little ones & a medication holder container.
These are some great ideas! I love that you focus on not only surviving physically but mentally and emotionally as well! So important.
I can’t wait to make one for my family. Great idea!
Great video. Would love to have one of these. Have been meaning to put someone like this together. One thing. I would add is a waterproof bag with copies of important documents, such as birth certificates, social society cards, etc. In a disaster, those things could come in handy.
Besides some hygiene packs (pads & such for the girls also) it is good to have all your important documents ready to go in case you have to leave in a hurry. I also have seen others w/a photo of each family member, pets, phone numbers written down as well as any important health information for each person/pet.
Taking care of a mom with dementia and a little girl, I would absolutely love to have this energy bag for us♥️♥️
I would add a few days of any prescribed meds for each family member!
Nice, I’ve been needing to do an emergency kit to. And never thought about my dog I have to do an emergency kit for him too. Thank you Crazy Middles
So important!! Thank you all for bringing this to video to raise awareness for all of us! I definitely need one!
I love this idea and the fact thst the family is involved in the packing so they are familiar with everything in the bag.
It's always a good idea to be prepared for any situation.
You rock!
My husband has made these for years for all family and friends he call them B.O.B. Bug out bags. He has set of clothes and hygiene products also. We attach sleeping bag on backpack for more room and have a small tarp. Great idea and we carry one of ours in our cars as you never know when a disaster is going to happen. I added in mine a sewing kit, with safety pens.
I love that you guys do these kind of videos because you never know when you’re going to be in a crisis situation! You guys are awesome!
This would be great idea for my grandson who plans to go hiking come spring and of course I worry since it’s his first time..Thanks for the inspiration ❤️
AWESOME 😎 Living in Florida w/all the hurricanes that come through would Love to have the one y'all are giving away. It would greatly help my son & I. We're permanently disabled & to have the 72hr emergency backpack. The dog backpack is Wonderful. We have a Service Dog. What a great idea😘 💯🤗
So kind of you to have a giveaway. Having made this video you've given great ideas that most of us wouldn't have thought of. Thank you❣️
This is such a great idea. I live on the east coast and we've had, power outage, hurricane and snow storms so having this would be great. Some personal hygiene products are great too.
This is such a good idea that I wrote down all the items and plan on making my emergency backpack. You did forget a few things like deodrant and bug spray also I recommend bear spray. It can either be put on your belt or clipped on the backpack. It is good for all animals and humans.
I would also add a few days of any prescription medications!
Love that you make these types of videos too! You are influencer’s so hopefully people will follow you and become prepared as well. It’s so important. Good job!! And Shelly I would be you tossing the supplies to add some fun to the task. Your a lovely family.
So glad you have showed this and help make awareness for everyone. This is something very important every person should have. There are other things someone could add to these to make it work for them! Thank you for showing this.
Love this idea! Being prepared is so important! Thank you for showing the way to prepare. Would love to have one. 😊
I’ve actually been meaning to put one of these together for my family & I!! Especially now that I have a baby of my own! Lacey & I had our daughters around the same time 🥰 thank you guys for this opportunity!!
I live in South Carolina
no one asked lol😂
@@_Rainbowshadows_ I mean they are doing a giveaway so they technically did 🤣 thanks for bringing my comment closer to the top though!! 🙏🏼
So happy to see you are being responsible to take care of your own needs if needed and not on others. Love this idea and would love to be the recipient of your extra bag. Love watching your family!!’
Such a great idea for your family…!! All individuals and families, in fact!! I have most of the items on the list, but I do appreciate you sharing your links, as some of them I don’t, and I haven’t put them together in a backpack yet. You guys are so great! Love you all! 💖
What a great idea! The only thing I would add is maybe a small hygiene kit with a travel toothbrush/ toothpaste, deodorant, soap and some feminine care products. I feel like you could probably get all of these items from the travel section and put them in a small bag or zip lock and put it in the pack. Those water pouches were pretty cool, I didn't know those even existed!
hygiene kit?
@@AZPA-dh6fb yea like a small bag with products for personal hygiene..... a hygiene kit.
Hi Crazy Middles, it’s great idea to have. Also have emergency backpack for winter. It’s better to be safe than sorry. Thank you, love from Canada 🥰🥰🥰
I am so glad that you are becoming prepared for a disaster. Keeping your family safe is very important. As a senior citizen, I should really have one of these. Thank you for what to put in an emergency pack.
Y’all have such a warm, loving heart, always thinking of others, this is a great idea. God Bless
That's always a great idea to have, here we have snow. In fact today we had a multiple car pile up near us. If you can, always have a full tank of gas. We also always include jerky, protein bars and personal care items. This is hard for me because I'm on 90% liquid diet. You can also use dryer lint in a toilet paper roll for a fire starter
I love this idea. I would love one. Living in a hurricane zone, it could come in handy!
I think it's awesome that you are teaching your children to always be prepared for what every might happen. This was an awesome video. Thank you for sharing this with all of us.
I’d totally love to have a 72 hour emergency bag like that! We’ve had a lot of evacuations in our area for wildfires, and often times there’s very little warning/time to prepare. Having everything ready ahead of time in one easy to see bag is a great idea.
An extension of this would be nice. Surviving on our kit for 72 hours, only using what you have. You can keep it indoors since it’s just to see what the results would be
great content
I like this idea!
Glad to get another peek of Brinley's hair, it looks so good 👍
I think the comment below is a scam? They put the same on my comment
I received the same comment that I won as well 😢
I’d love to be able to have something like this! We are getting into our snowy season here in the PNW and I work 2 jobs so I’m always on the move. I’d feel much safer nothing I had a full emergency kit in case I got stuck out in the snow.
Thank you for always sharing with us and for the opportunity! Hope y’all had a great weekend ❤️
I would love one of these ❤️ You can tell how much time and effort went into picking each item, not only considering each of your kids but the furbabies too 🐶
I love this concept! I would probably add deodorant or something to clean yourself like a washcloth and soap or maybe even a miniature rubbing alcohol to clean wounds if necessary :) You never know when you’ll need this sort of pack, I plan to follow this idea in the future with my kids! 😊
I think the first aid kits included things like that
You guys with the big mouths obviously are not regular followers or even viewers 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@goodkarmaiscomingtoyou1381 What is your problem? People are just suggesting items that might be useful to them. Bullying them by saying what they think is unimportant is not needed.
Yes! I’ve order soap tabs for camping before so those would be easy and small. As long as they had water they could use it. Also agree on like deodorant or those bathing wipes.
@@goodkarmaiscomingtoyou1381 I’m not being rude to anyone, I’m sorry you weren’t able to watch till the end but they did ask for us to comment suggestions!🤍
🎉this is an amazing idea! Working in the medical field, I know anything can happen and need to be prepared for any disaster. Would love to have the emergency kit! ❤
I love this idea! I am always the person to have all of the extra “just in case” stuff when we go places. This would be amazing to have prepared for any unexpected event!
I can't tell you guys enough how amazing you are. You think of everything for any situation. I would love, love to have one of these! Please 😁 Great job guys!!!
Fabulous! Myself and Partner *Husband next year* have taken up survival trips away together and there are a few things in there I'd not have thought of at all had it not been for seeing your video. Thanks Shelly & Gerard. 💕
I would love to win the survival kit for my family. Thank you so much for the opportunity and good luck to everybody. Thank you for bringing this idea to your community and giving us inspiration.
This is such a fantastic idea! It's something our family needs to do, but I've neglected to make a priority. This made me realize how important it is - and gave me new ideas of what I could put in it! :)
It would be so lovely to have a bag for safety for my household. Thank you for the ideas and if you chose me thanks for preparing my family for any given situation.
Your family along with crazy pieces are one in a million in love watching your family grow. It would be amazing to win the 72hr kit!! Much love and stay safe
Nice idea. I live in Washington State where it snows a lot. I am 75 years old and would love this backpack.
This is such an awesome idea. We were thinking of one bag but having one for each member is even better!!
Love this idea and great job packing that backpack! 👍Awesome idea and something I think we all need and should have for our families. We have a go pack for hurricane evacuation but it's mostly just for important papers and room for laptops etc. 🙂
Feminine products for the girls. Small first aide packs of course someone will fall. Bug repellent for teens and adults to use on Littles as well. You all have done a good job all in all
I would love to have one for an emergency.i love watching your family videos, what u all do as a big family to.god bless you all, stay safe to
We have these, one per family member. Is an awesome idea to make sure that anything you put in there, you know how to use it. Do drills ever so often. Everyone's needs are different.
When you’re prepared ye shall not fear!! I would love to have a 72 hour kit. I’m the Caregiver for my husband who has Early Onset Alzheimer’s Dementia and we’ve had to leave our home and place all our belongings in a Storage Unit and move in with family to have 24hr a day care for him, as he’s too young and doesn’t qualify for assistance. Love your family and channel. 🫶🙏🤟
These are such a great idea. Living in CA and in an area with quakes this would be a lovely addition to have.
My husband and I are older and this would come in handy if something was to happen.. So glad you put this on your channel. I am going to have my niece watch it who has 2 children of her own.. she should do this for her and her kids.. thanks...
I honestly think these survival bags are a great idea they not only will help you in a time crunch if you ever need to leave the house and a desperate time crunch Do the a natural disaster or any other issue that arises. I love when you guys did the kids for the girls And I Would be blessed to get an item such as this from your family. I absolutely love watching your videos and seeing how the kids are doing so well. God bless you all think you for your giveaway opportunity.
Getting the pack would be fantastic as I am an older (65+) woman who is facing homelessness unless I can find a cheaper place to live. Thank you!
I love this!! People have some good ideas BUT are forgetting this is a SURVIVAL kit. Contains what you need to stay alive for 3 days or a little longer. Though a lot of items would be nice to have, not needed to stay alive when space is an issue and could be used for more important things. We did something like this when I worked at a boy scout camp. The challenge was to make the kids really think about it and the key word was "survival". With every item we asked the kids "Do you really need it to survive"? Great job!
This would be amazing. I live alone and raising my daughter alone. A survival kit for us would help in an emergency situation for us. Love you guys.
That's amazing! Would def be good for me to do this with my family as we live in Maine and get horrible snow storms sometimes
Love this idea and all the survival supplies. Would love to win it!!! Feminine products for the girls. Great job Mom and Dad! Love this family! ❤
This is a fantastic example of planning. I know the 3 days of protein 4Patriots food wasn’t popular but believe me when you are hungry and don’t have access to food it IS a lifesaver. Other items to consider to roll up in there are: Undergarments, an extra pair of socks, a small toothbrush/travel toothpaste, soap, girls will need feminine hygiene products - and teach them to layer 2 or three T-shirt’s on their body with a long sleeved cotton top and a sweatshirt or hoodie over that EVEN in the desert because nights can get cold. The headlamps are great too, and I love that you picked these all as red for safety grab and go bags!! Also remember - glasses, contacts and Rx Meds. Never a bad idea to throw a couple of tubes of sugar tablets (for when your blood sugar drops) into the older kids and adults packs. High stress situations can cause drops and blood sugar that can affect your vision, your cognitive abilities and you can actually lose consciousness. Most especially when you’re not getting proper nutrition and over exerting your body with exercise, for example if you had to hike up into the mountains and you’ve been sweating a lot.
I live in Seattle, and we do get earthquakes (occasionally). I know I should have one of these! Thanks for the reminder and the list of links!
What a great idea! We never thought of doing that! Thanks for the education on this. Love watching you guys! Your family is amazing!❤️❤️
Perfect for emergency situations😉love your family❤️
I want one! I love watching your emergency kits videos. Great idea for making the bags red, you'll be able to see it in the dark better.
Our family could really use some of those supplies. We moved to central FL 3 years ago but this year was our 1st hurricane experience. Ian was quite the intro course for hurricanes and a few weeks later we got hit by Nicole. Trying to prepare for a hurricane you quickly realize why so many people don’t evacuate. It requires a lot of money and advance planning which most don’t have. Trying to find supplies ahead of a storm is useless so having something like this on hand would be incredible.
I would definitely need one of those!!I love how the whole family bonds together I love your guys positive energy and vibe ❤️
This is a really good idea!!! Especially with the weather being all weird, the people who suffered from the hurricane, people who lose electricity. Just a good idea all around
This is so important to have prepared! My husband and I put one together a couple years ago, but we didn't have a good backpack for it and need to get better supplies. We really need to update it. It would be amazing to win a giveaway like this! I would add fire supplies, basic hygiene stuff, and paper maps.
This is great! Since I was in college I always had an emergency pack but not like this. I could use this one for sure!
I just took a course called “stop the bleed” and a pilates band is something that can be used to hold pressure over a wound after placing something like a tshirt over the wound. There something that is small and can save someone’s life who is bleeding
Definitely feminine products. Pads can be used for if you cut yourself really bad and you need bandaids. Triple antibiotic cream too. I would really love that pack. It would come in handy during hurricane season. I live in Mississippi. After Katrina this would have come in handy. We had to search for water for two weeks
I love watching you guys put this together the kids reactions Shelley throwing the items tossing. And I love how Jared explains everything will go guys..❤🎉😊😂
This is amazing! Being a single woman, this would be such a blessing to have in order to take care of myself in an emergency. Thank you for this video and the chance to win that amazing pack!
I would absolutely love to have an emergency kit! Such a wonderful idea especially in this day and age!
Hi Susan! Could you please email us at Crazymiddles@gmail.com You won the emergency kit! ~Shelly
This is great, thanks for this video! Me, my husband and two teenage boys have been talking about doing something like this for a while! You guys added some really good Items that I wouldnt of thought of. The red color is actually a pretty good idea as everything we usually get is black. This would be really easy to spot to grab and go 🏃♀️🏃. Sending lots of love ❤ your way from Georgia.
