I’ve been on this road frequently and I have to say there is absolutely no shoulder for biking and with it being 8:30 at night and inclement weather was a recipe for disaster. Most towns in my area offer free transportation if you are drunk. This man needs to be held accountable 100% with max penalty. My heart breaks for the family.
As Habs fan, hope that Sean Monahan brings to Columbus what he brought to Montreal hopefully he can heal and help the young team heal throughout this through the season, no one better to speak of Johnny in Columbus as they came into the league and became stars together in Calgary
I was really looking forward to see the reunion.
But hockey aside, to Johnny & Matthew’s family, friends, teammates and fans, my condolences.
Can’t imagine what any of them are going through.

Two freak accidents in the last three years to this franchise. This was far more egregious.

This was just brutal news. Worse for the family he leaves behind, but also for the communities he impacted.

We're Frickin Cursed in Columbus!! What did we do to deserve these last 4 years??? We Have The Best Fans In The League!! We were all so excited for a fresh start this season!! Johnny was so happy about Moni coming here!! They were gonna cook!! Fantilli just did an interview the other day and gushed and glowed when asked about Getting to be around Johnny!!! So Sad!! Pray For His Family and Loved Ones!!! Gone too Soon🙏🏻
I'm just heartbroken. I'm not just heartbroken as a hockey fan but as a human. This whole situation is just so sad. I feel for his family and for those who cared for both he and his brother personally. This is just proof that life isn't fair and that all we can do is to do the best we can to be good humans with the time we have on Earth. It also serves as a reminder that if you care for someone, tell them. Don't take your nor their lives from granted. We are not promised tomorrow.
