Hi Jeff, loving the content, I think a video showcasing the technology behind in-flight Infotainment Systems would be fascinating. It could cover engineering, safety features, power efficiency, and aircraft integration. Not sure how you'd approach it or contact airlines, but keep up the good work!
It's a highly concentrated segment. Getting anything onto an aircraft program is complicated and costly. Most players are closer to aero electronics and avionics firms than consumer infotainment firms for that reason. For commercial aircraft, generally the airline will specify their system from a (very short) list of configurations offered and qualified by the aircraft manufacturer or cabin outfitter: IFE intersects with cabin equipment for obvious reasons - the seats often contain the entertainment screens and controls. There is more flexibility in general aviation and some of the 1%'s planes have bonkers AV and connectivity.
@@charlottelanvin7095 hence why a good video. commercial aircraft is more what i was meaning especially the A380 with its 500+ screens. The reason you went to Texas first is because it's more efficient for airlines to operate through central hubs than to operate lines between every possible pair of airports. Think of Houston as the switch in your local network.
They need SMART LINES for the next LTX. So you won't waste time waiting in lines and can look around and get a notification while you wait for your turn.

@@roVERtYSTIFI Pretty awesome! I’m off to Google to find out how well they work. Appreciate it
Amazed you got that gps device through TSA 😂
I did get asked about it twice 😅
The reason you went to Texas first is because it's more efficient for airlines to operate through central hubs than to operate lines between every possible pair of airports. Think of Houston as the switch in your local network.
True, but there are a few other hubs more between STL and YVR, just bad luck I guess there weren't any other flights
Brilliant video. Lots of LTX and LMG behind the scenes stuff I have never seen before.
Great coverage if the event. The Wan Show was fun too.
Haha, honestly I didn't even get a chance to watch it yet! It was so crowded I decided to not try watching live.
Nice to see you there, we all love your work dearly!
thats awesome, keep the title at it is lol :D
I love to see LTT from other perspective from time to time
2:05 Apparently LINUS also fear from Red Shirt Jeff..... ;)
They need SMART LINES for the next LTX. So you won't waste time waiting in lines and can look around and get a notification while you wait for your turn.
Ooh. First year it'll probably be painful but that could help!
Disney style
Amazing! ❤
Glad to meet you and I'll probably still get your name wrong next time I see you hahaha
@@JeffGeerling lol that's totally fine haha
Now a days I'm realising that the internet tech community is the online internet community who don't carry any type of hate and toxic fan's, followers i mean you can see on internet non tech youtubers fans talking rubbish about each other and here we are (geeks) supporting every geeks equally.
Tech UA-cam ftw! We have differences but we can still be kind to each other!
I am glad you got to taste the delicacy that is Poutine!
12:20 huh is that where it is now? I swore / it felt like it used to be off the kitchen set at one time…
I wanted to catch Mass when I was in Chicago this week, but I couldn't catch the Blue Line in time to get to Holy Name for their 7am. Was too busy for the nearby parish times on Sunday as I was a photographer for an event. 😅
Ah, sometimes it's just impossible! I was so grateful (as a night owl) they started the day at 10 am instead of super early
@@JeffGeerling That's good. Sunday didn't really take off until 9:00 am for my event, but all the parishes nearby didn't have anything earlier than 8:00 am. 😭
C'est la vie. 😅
The most relatable part of this video for me is feeling uncomfortable recording a voiceover at the airport
Xbox 360 is retro made me feel old as well. 🙃
