『2PM』『TWICE』『Stray Kids』『NiziU』など数々の有名アーティストを輩出させたJYPエンターテインメントより2019年2月に韓国からデビューした、5人組グローバルグループ『ITZY』（読み方：イッチ）。
2021年12月に日本デビューを果たし、オリコン2022年上半期セールスランキング新人部門では海外アーティスト史上2組目の1位を獲得。2022年8月ソウル公演を皮切りに、アメリカやアジア含む全16地域20回のワールドツアーITZY THE 1ST WORLD TOUR 〈CHECKMATE〉を大成功におさめたITZY。
ITZY THE 1ST WORLD TOUR＜CHECKMATE＞は2022年8月6日、7日韓国・ソウルオリンピック公園のSKオリンピックハンドボール競技場を皮切りに10月26日からはアメリカ・ロサンゼルス、フェニックス、ダラス、ヒューストン、アトランタ、シカゴ、ボストン、そしてニューヨークとUS全8か所を公演。全ての会場でチケットは完売となり大盛況に終わった。
10月17日アメリカ公演前には、アジア4か国（マニラ、シンガポール、ジャカルタ、バンコク）の追加公演を発表し、日本でも2月に幕張イベントホールにて初の単独公演を行った。
韓国のみならず世界でモンスター級の活躍を見せている。
2023年7月31日（月）には2023年初のカムバックとなる＜KILL MY DOUBT＞をリリース、
そして、10月18日（水）には初の日本アルバム『RINGO』を発売。

@@789ten2 they did. This is very Mafia/Loco 2021 Itzy sound coded… and that divided a lot of people. That’s probably why jyp thought the darker vibe would be better for the Japan market

普段JYPの他のグループ推しててはじめて今回ちゃんとperformance見たんですが、揃い方ボーカル、ダンスのレベルが高すぎて驚かされました。金髪の子はリアちゃんであってますか？クールな表情と上品なビジュアルが最高です。今活動休止されてる？みたいで、とても心配に思います。しっかり休んで元気になってまた戻ってきてほしい。Itzy応援したいです。

MIDZYも含め世間に曲のこととかで雁字搦めにされてるITZYが「私は操り人形じゃない、私の物語は私が書く」って言ってるのほんとかっこいい。かっこいい曲だけ出しといて欲しいって声も少なからずあるけどこんなに素晴らしい子達を「かっこいい」って枠だけに閉じ込めて置くなんて勿体なさすぎるって思うなー

I'm honestly really impressed by their live singing, I've only recently got into Itzy and I've been surprised at how talented these girls are!

Everyone in ITZY is multi-talented and well-rounded. Some might be better at dancing, singing, rapping, or visual appeal, but they've all got talents in each category. The most impressive thing about ITZY is that they're always improving and at such a fast pace. ITZY is the ultimate girl group. I honestly think they can each be solo artists and superstars but they're even better as a team.

Those powerful Korean comebacks you talk about have already been done. Itzy can’t always afford to do more westernized powerful Korean comebacks, why you think their Korean popularity dropped after they kept adopting it?? They have been recently trying to gain their Korean popularity back with various Korean promotions and variety shows with songs like sneakers and cake. Stop judging their discography when fans are always telling them to switch it up and they end up losing fans in the process.
