For the price I have never heard a guitar this. When I played in a music shop I was sold immediately, better range of sounds than any other PRS I have ever played....such warm and great range of tone comes out of this guitar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im convinced the only reason people say “PRS” sound soulless is because they’re just not the guitars that recorded those 60s and 70s albums. If they were around from the 50s/60s, people would be clamouring for em even more
Got mine used this week for $700. Great guitar & great deal. Has acoustic resonance in the middle position especially with the coil split on the neck pickup..
She’s a beauty, but for some reason, I cannot get used to have a selector switch on the top horn… it looks weird to me (and I love double cut, I love the PRS shape)… I’m just too traditional I guess so I would go for a SingletCut if I would want to have a top selector switch… and if I had a double cut, then I would move the selector on the lower place (like the thinline/SG version)
The scale length on the 594 is 24.594 inches which is actually shorter than the gibson scale of today but more accurate to vintage gibsons in the burst Era
PRS SE is the best guitar for the cost. Beautiful with very good fit & finish. By itself, the soul is different yes but with different pickups, the guitar is a beast.
1) Wood definitely makes a difference. (Quality & type of wood.) 2) The number of pieces of wood also makes a difference. 3) Every component in the guitar makes a difference.
Nice demo of a great guitar, Juca. My copy arrives this Thursday and I can’t wait! You mentioned swapping the 10s with 9s. You do this on all your guitars?
I bought this same exact model. The pups don't split. They tap. The tap sounds better than most coil taps. Everything you noted here is correct. It holds it's tune very well, the action is very low with no buzz, the nut is the same as the American models and it's my understanding that the pups are the same as well. Either way it sounds and plays great. Well worth the price.
@@rickhammel9541 Coil splitting only applies to humbucker pickups. Humbuckers consist of two coils and magnets of opposite polarity in order to cancel hum and produce a guitar signal. To split a humbucker is to cut out one coil from the circuit, leaving a single coil to work its magic - just like you’d hear from your standard Strat or Tele. Similar to how coil splitting essentially halves a humbucker, coil tapping cancels out the full length of the pickup magnet by taking the signal from a shorter point in the wire (usually around the midpoint). It can be utilised in both humbucker and single coil pickups. It’s worth noting that a coil tapped humbucker won’t necessarily sound identical to a single coil pickup unlike coil splitting. There’s a good chance it’ll have more akin to the effect of removing a boost pedal than anything else, reducing a bit of the heat and high-end. Coil tap is generally more of a niche feature and not quite as versatile as coil split
Would this guitar be a good investment? And would it sound good with worship / gospel music? I've tried both the singlecut and double cut and I'm thinking about getting the double cut one in black gold burst so I want to hear it from you on what advice you could give me on it
@@lavelle2729I would not consider any guitar an investment unless it’s a true vintage or belongs to someone famous. Buy it because you love it, not with the plan to sell for profit which is the definition of investment.
Yes Juca, I agree. It's a beautiful guitar. I like the looks and the sound. What I don't like is the text on the back side of the headstock, that tells us that we are dealing with an instrument made in Indonesia. Every time I read it I question my self: is this a real PRS or a Cort with PRS logo.
I would guess what you are hearing when you split the coil is how prs doesnt do a true split. The way its set up is that when you pull the coil split, it only knocks off about 80% of the signal and not the full 100% that a true coil split would have.

They do have a soul, very different one :) Cheers
In my humble opinion all guitars and instruments have no soul! The player has to put his/her soul into it to give the instrument alive!
People are stupid. No guitar has soul, the player does

I've had them all and my se MC carty is my favorite. I gig 4-6 times a month and the day I got it I played a 4gig weekend with the stock prs strings.
How about the DGT?

your playing really does bring the best out of the guitar, you give a really good demonstration.
Thanks :)
Intonation is perfect on that guitar! Beautiful.
Thanks

Yes I know, thanks :)
We all know, hence the model being called 594
Excellent review Juca!
Thanks :)

I just love it the way it is. Not going to change a single thing! Cheers

Thanks! Yes I do, 10s are too much for solo stuff for me. Cheers
Excellent demo. Really sounds great! Any chance those patches are available? The mid-drive is a really nice bluesy tone, I'd love to get those!
PRS SE models, including this one, obviously, are great guitars, period.
True! Cheers
Had me eye on this model..sounds incredible..
It does man! Cheers

Awesome 👍👍👍
what's the difference between tap and split? I always thought it was the same

Pickups on this and S2 are G&B. Core is PRS

Yes, it's a fine instrument. Superb.
Awesome, I'm planning on investing in it sometime this month or hopefully this year. Thanks for the advice Juca

Yes, not totally split.
Nice review , this PRS looks amazing!
Thanks 🙏🏻

Many thanks :)
do you know how to tame the jump in volume on the ME90?@@JucaNeryGuitar

seems like the level is jump high from manuel to memory

@@MarkStearleOh, haven' noticed that yet! Gotta try it.
Nice guitar and great playing. What amp did you use?
Thanks! It was the Boss Katana MKII.
Very nice. How's the neck? I have small hands. Is it very fat? Not sure of the dimensions of the pattern vintage neck.
Thanks, it's not slim, but very comfortable.
The SE line does NOT have a violin carve. PRS makes that very clear.
I am glad, I don’t really like it, thanks
Great guitar, wonder how it compares to the single cut version.
Same sound, just different shape. Cheers
Damn, you spoke really highly of it
It's superb! Cheers
Beautiful
Thanks :)
Is this guitar decent for hard rock/metal with the stock pickups? I can get a deal on one and I'm thinking of pulling the trigger.
Yeah sure :)
@@JucaNeryGuitar Thanks Juca, I just bought the blue one for $769 from Sweetwater
