Thanks for showing how to replace the filter inside. We have one of the machines as a loner and I was thinking there was going to a basic one to clean out once every couple of weeks that had easy access to it but, I didn't see a door other than the door for the Hepa filter which on my machine looked clean. I am not going to worry about changing out the internal filter like that. People really should be careful when they order filters from Amazon or Walmart because sometimes the ones we are buying may have a good label name on it but, they're fake copies. I would stick to an OEM replaceent filter if I could for a life saving machine like this.
My 1st attempt at this and your video is helpful. However, it's taken me three days to complete this "fast, easy, simple filter change" 😞 lol. I'm a young 70 yr. woman quite capable....until THIS task 😆. I was so frustated at creating and successfully using the type of screwdriver adapters I'm not familiar with at all. I had to buy an entire 1/4“ ratchet with all the adapters in both U. S. measurements & metrics (the only way the store sold them 😖😠). Took me a night just to merely unhook the packaging and unhinge the 5/16 adapter from it's holding pin 😠🥵 OMG packaging!! Next day I felt confident I'd unscrewed all four deep hole screws, however three screws never came out of the deep holes so I couldn't tell if I'd really unscrewed them or not...what... the...heck😫🤬🤯. Day three I try again, no change 🤷🏼♀️🥵. I had to pick up this heavyass unit, turn it over and the screws fell out...success🥳😆😖. Changed the filter easily 👏🏻. Now, I'm still concerned over two things...the old filter (many years old) still looks white and new 🤷🏼♀️🤔, is that normal ... and, I don't feel assured I attached the replacement correctly with "Inlet" side facing up toward me. The new one from Walmart has no verbiage showing inlet side (like yours). This can only mean to the consumer that there's no difference to the function of either side. That said, I did my best to follow your instruction. It would help to have a non-blury video, closeups of each detail you talk about, as you go, even use a flashlight to show inside the deep hole the screws are in. I was about to video call my son out-of-state for help 😆. How could I know if the filter is placed incorrectly🤷🏼♀️🤔😟? My Respirionics is back together & running as usual, and....pretty much me too 😄. I taught this 70 yr. woman how to use a $18.88, 20-piece Deep Set 1/4“ ratchet and adapters set 👏🏻👍🏻🤷🏼♀️
Hi Naomi, thanks for sharing your knowledge. My concentrator after 15 minutes shows a red LED and a beep. I read that the alert is due to low oxygen levels. What could be done in this case?
What do you do to refurbish an Everflo with OPI to leave it good as new? Do you fix anything, change parts or you just change filters and zeolite minerals?
i just replaced one of these and like Linda Hollister below I am concerned as to whether I put it in backwards and wonder if it really does matter or if maybe the person who made the video thought it should an so said that it did; I wish someone would post a definite answer; when I asked the question on line I was told that it did matter and that I should watch this video.
My oxygen supplier said to change them annually. He was at my home doing the filter replacement at the 2 year mark and apologized that no one had been out before that. He only changed the inlet filter though. So I'm sitting with at least five year old filters and a broken/stripped socket thanks to hubby.
Very good explanation on how to change the bacterial filter. While inside the unit, I will vacuum it out and clean the fan. Simple to do. Thanks, Skip

Can someone tell me How often should it be cleaned
Oh thank you so much!
Also, ocnfused. Were there 2 different filters? 1 for inlet and a different one for outlet?

Thanks.. a link or part number would have also been usefull.
What is the problem, please? The device gives only an audio warning, without a light warning, after turning it on for a while, please
Where to get the filter that's being replaced?
I searched & ordered one online, sorry I don't remember the website it was over a year ago so I have to search again
Ok, watching it again, It seems there is just one filter. You were showing 2 to show inlet side / outlet side.
