Holy telecaster Redd! Used to call that Phooking bad ass playing; But I don't use bad words any more. You are a treasure! Other than delay I wonder if any other guitar processing was used.
Redd has been one of my guit-favs for a long time, but I've never heard him playing with such a fat tone. Sounds like a Carl Martin DC-Drive... anyway, totally rude & awesome! Wish he would come over to play a few venues in europe. Cheers!
How do u do those big bends and that also without a whammy bar, im trying on my regular strat.... Are u using a reguler Tele or one of those bender ones??
It's just a regular tele, no bender. He pulls the on neck to get that effect, the rest is just bending notes with those big ol fingers. He's just ridiculously good.
Thanks dude, i want a tele now, been sampling these custom shop ones, wildwood dealer select '52 10's. Quite good, but i'l probably have a sell a kidney...
Those look sweet but just too much $$ for my blood. I bought a ‘09 Squier CV 50’s tele used for $250 and surprisingly it punches way above its price, it’s just a really great tele. The only thing I would change is the pots and the neck pickup, but the bridge pickup is a keeper for classic twang. Try one if you get a chance, it should satisfy your cravings, and you can keep the kidney too. Good luck, and take care.
I got to see him at the Continental and was privileged with a few mins of his time.. he said. "You're from AZ, don't say you came here to see my old ass" .. to which I replied, no I'm more interested in hearing and watching one of the greatest guitar players.. not so much your ass sir..
I miss those Saturday afternoons at the Continental a lot. And Sunday nights with Redd again in Heybale, the best honkytonk band in America.
Redd's the best guitarist to ever play the Telecaster and that's no shit ! He can crush any style and with apparent ease!
I can't believe how much I'm liking this.... sheesh.
Came to watch Red came away amazed by the drummers impeccable timing and swing which reminded me of Ringo
Unbelievable. Emotion redefined.
Fantabulous. Simply stupendous playing, tone and style.
Watching Redd is a treat! It's like watching a big ol' cat playing with a ball of string. I love the series of pre-bends.Awesome!
Thank you " TELE MASTER " Redd for all your tunes on UA-cam,, THANK YOU,, YHANK YOU..........Christian from France
HOLY MOLASSES, REDD!! THAT'S AWESOME!!
What a tone!!!
One of the best versions I've heard since Dannys.
Telemaster.
Awesome!
That guy is such a cut up, and an amazing player.
Redd!

Oh, so that's where my back yard garden gnome went: to a Texas speakeasy showing off so he can get 'lucky' after the gig(!)
'Cause we've ended as sleepwalkers...'

Divine in places....messy in others.
One hell of a guitarist but the person with the camera couldn't stay still. LOL. but still a great job.
Redds out there in Jeff Beck land...lol
