Congrats on the win, Tim. she raced big! I honestly think you should consider entering her to race next week. As long as she isn't sick or sore, she is on top of her game and on top of the division RIGHT NOW! Who knows about next year/ next summer? Sometimes they just don't come back as good or have the same pop, and sometimes the other ones take a bigger improvement from 2 to 3. Also it's a long time between now and then, she could get hurt in the stall or field or get sick or injured training down etc etc. Is it going to be a similar field as it was last night? If so, she clearly has an edge on them, why not get the money (or at least try to, (I know there's no such thing as a guarantee, lol) while it is there right in front of you? I get it, you don't want her to get too hot or rammy for next year, or keep racing her if she has gotten tired after a long year, but consider this, when you gave her her head up the backside she literally blew by the leader like she was standing still, and had plenty left over, it's not like you were life and death in a scraper to hold on. I'm sure you had a good summer and made good money with your stable overall, but why not take the opportunity to possibly reward yourself a bit more as you head into the fall and winter? Hope you'll consider it! If not, you just made everybody else in the race a bit happier knowing they don't have to deal with your filly and have a much better chance to win or finish one spot higher.
