I just visited my father in Florida. He served as a naval fighter pilot in WW II, a sub-hunter in Korea...and was discharged from the Navy in 1968...at the height of the Viet Nam war. I'm very proud of him. He is now 100 years old...and just celebrated his birthday on July 26th of this year. Amazingly he chose to do so on the Disney Cruise Wonder...visiting the state of Alaska. Truly one of the Greatest Generation...

My heart breaks thinking about it. I'm 43 years old. I see what a difference the world is from when I was in school. These men and women are seeing a different planet. It's so sad. Kids are being given porn and LGBTQ indoctrination material in kindergarten. The morals and backbone of this country are crumbling. 😓 these stories are so important and should be required in school. I think what Josh and his family have done with this channel would fit perfectly into a school setting. It can open up conversation and let you see some of the things that the men and women had to go through so they could have freedom. These videos are not that long so they're just long enough to get a very strong message across and kids would be able to see these old men and what they look like when they were in battle and how young and full of life they were and what they had to see and do in order for them to have their freedom today. It makes me emotional thinking about it. My grandfather died last year at the age of 95. He operated a tank in world war II and was in the battle of the bulge. He never wanted to talk about the things he had to do with the things he saw. He said even if his old age he's forgotten a lot. That he remembers everything about his time in the war. He said he'll never be able to forget about it. God bless these men and women and thank you so much for your service

That image of the men bandage in the mess hall is so haunting to look at. The 2 man with bandages on their faces look similar to a past image form World War I soldiers where soldiers would return home with both disfigured limbs and burned faces due to injuries from Chlorine, Phosgene, or Mustard Gas. I will never forget all these men for their sacrifices and they all need to get the welcome home and recognition they rightly earned for their service.

    getting executed
    bombed
    gased
and all that cruel shit that happened fucks you up so hard...
and now imagine after over 60 years you finally have some "peace" and see how the world changes to the same spot they were in

We haven't done right by these men. He's right. Things have changed, and not for the better. The way we treat each other now, the anger, the division, the resurgence of hate in the younger generations- it's not the America they fought for us to keep. We need to remember their sacrifices and do better by them.
